Okay, so what the heck are Crocs

on our way to WDW we stopped in Daytona and my croc's were great in the ocean till they filled with sand and I fell on my b---. Hard to sand back up But I do love them. Wanted lime green to wear for my DIS friends to be able to find me but could not find any. :cheer2:

MEM> Thanks for the info about not-wearing socks. that's what I was hoping to hear! heehee. I'm a barefoot kind of gal :paw: and was hoping these shoes would be good for me. But I didn't want to buy them if they needed socks to be worn! I'm looking for something I can wear to work. When i have to go out into the plant I have my thick socks and steal toed boots I have to wear... but that's rare. Most of the time I'm in a casual office and can wear just about anything except flip flops (which I cannot stand anyway! eww!!).

Thinking about those pretty powder blue aspens. Or maybe the butter beach.

Hmmmmmmmm......!! :p

My DS13 loves mine and he wants a pair. He doesn't want the beach ones with the holes, but likes the other style. DS15 is telling him that boys don't wear them. I know some grown men who wear them, but what about boys? He's in middle school (tough age) and I'm afraid he'll get teased. Once he wears them out the door, I can't return them and they aren't cheap. :confused3

My DS who is also 13 and in middle school, has a pair of the Beach in khaki...he hasn't worn them to school, but there are a couple of girls that have them and they think he's cool because he told them he has some, too. He mostly wears them for knocking around the house, neighborhood and quick errands with Mom.

Thanks for the replies. I might give tham a try before my trip in May.

I bought a pair of "Holey Soles" - same thing as Crocs, but made here in Canada. I love them, they're the most comfortable shoes I've worn since my UGGS.

Now, if they'd only come in a cute heel...

There are some other manufacturers out there. Very similar to the Crocs. We have found a different manufacturer at a white-water rafting place out in the Berkshires. They are almost identical to the Crocs...same price also. I have two pair of Crocs, dd has a pair and they never leave her feet. They are the only shoes we will wear in WDW now....wore them last June and again in Aug...incredibly comfy. I wear mine with socks now that it is getting a little cooler. And I think I'll buy some without the ventilation holes for the winter. It's a bit chilly to have snow getting in. But, I have to say...wearing Crocs makes it really hard to wear any other shoes. I have yet to find anything that comes even close to the same comfort level. Not even my sneaks. Nope, don't care that my feet don't look all cutesy....it so does not matter.

crocs are amazing! I have weird feet.. and they always hurt.. but NOT ANY MORE!!

Even my feet with the very high instep can fit into these shoes.. they are amazing.

My devotion to these shoes mean I have the following (something for every occasion!)

2 x black, 1 x light blue, coral pink, purple, pearl, lime green, fucshia pink, (all beach model) And two pairs of highland (the enclosed version !)

I kind of like them ;)

What do you think of the enclosed shoes? I'm considering buying a pair of the Aspens for work, but I'm not sure if I'll like them.

Actually my first pair of Beach CROCS are made in Canada. I've heard that they are also manufactured in China. I'm not sure where the pair I just bought today are made...the soles actually say Boulder, Colorado and have the CROCS website address. I ended up with a new pair of Beach just like this...

Not only are they gonna be my new lime green DIS shoes at WDW, but they'll work great for Christmas...just need to grab some red socks in case it gets too cold... :rotfl:
