i got banned.
yeah. it happens.
i don't know if anyone even remembers it, but because of that, i kinda know how those things work.
it runs on a point system, and points appear instantly. as in, you can get them when you log off, and they're active until you log back on. its possible to log out, and have several infractions seen, then when you log back on you have active punishments.
my record of infractions is three pages long
rolleyes
, so i won't share all of them. but here is part of it. the first line is where i got the points, (feel free to note that many of mine were never shared with me. i'm not sure why)

now, only i can see those notes. and only the banned person would be able to see hers.
i'm the first to say when i see something going wrong, but is it possible that if someone were in the habit of filtering their own posts (*AGAINST THE RULES*) maybe it was done on several different posts and all of them were flagged? the points will add up, quickly. possibly even over night?
since moderation is usually done in waves, it would be easy to flag the same type of posts from several different people (notice my many "signature rules violations")
i could be wrong, but from what i've seen and what i've been told, it seems like several sets of points could have racked up fast (and believe me, they do.) resulting in a banning?
oh, by the way, naming banned people is against the rules too.
