I realized that we would be taking family pictures, almost every day, so I'm color coordinating what DH and I will wear, vs. the boys t-shirts and such, so we don't clash in the pictures. Only a couple of days will we be wearing matching t-shirts. For example, on day one, my little one will have a red/white/black shirt with Mickey on it. DH will be in red, other son in white and I'll be in black shirts. All the boys will be in black jeans and I'll be in red.

DH thinks I've lost it, but I'd hate to have a wonderful shot and not like it simply because our clothes are too distracting.

I'm sooooooo ready!

I'm going to agree with your DH...

Just relax and enjoy your holiday! :flower:

LOL. I must agree that it does sound a bit crazy. . .but who cares if you get some wonderful family photos that look great! More power to ya! :teeth:

I'm very impressed - you sound just like my cousin - she coordinates everyone too!

I, on the other hand, spend so much time just trying to get laundry done to get clothing packed that I'll be lucky if we don't end up in the parks in our P.J.'s!!!

Good for you - wonder if I'll ever feel like I have enough time to try to do this?!?!

:flower:

Holy cow- that's organized.

I can't even remember to quit wearing a white t-shirt to AK. (Kali river rapids)

I don't think that's crazy if you're a catalog photographer :earsboy:

Yes, I believe you're gone!!! But you'll look absolutely WONDERFUL on the way!!! You know where there's a beautiful "picture postcard op"??? Right next to the millionaire show is a "Narnia" snow scene. We just got our pictures back last night and we took one of my niece and DH there and it turned out beautiful. Wish I'd have taken one of DH and myself there too.

That is organised!! Probably something I would do if I could get away with it but I doubt DH would appreciate me telling him what to wear and when. When we go away I always pack my things and DH packs his. That was if he forgets anything it isn't my fault! I have however made myself various t-shirts for this trip and have decided which days I will be wearing which one (I made sure my AK one was yellow and not white!) Then I decided what bottoms I was taking once I had seen the colours n the tops!

Actually, it seems really easy to pack. I had already bought the boys Disney shirts, a while back. So, I look at the shirts for Epcot and then pull an aqua shirt for DH and a white one for me, both of which are colors that are in both of their Buzz shirts. Each of us will have, one pair of jeans, black jeans, tan jeans and one pair of jean shorts. We'll be able to wash at no charge, at the place we are staying, so instead of packing for 11 days, I'm packing pants that will work with anything. The boys each have 5 Disney shirts. Also, they each have 5 turtle necks (red/white/black/grey/navy) so if it's chilly, they can just wear one of those under their t-shirts. They may wind up wearing those same shirts again, or they may just wear the solid turtle necks on a couple of days. So everything is doing double duty.

Well, I am an amateur photographer and do prefer the families to look like a family vs. a group of strangers that happen to be in the pic together. :rotfl:

I did a shoot last year and every person was wearing something completely different from the next. One had lime green, another bright orange and someone else in a Christmas sweater. Drove me nuts. But I'm really anal retentive about a lot of things.

Well, I think it's a great idea and, yes, your pics will look better for it! Enjoy!

You sound like me, I do the same thing. For our last trip I had outfits for each park. For Animal Kingdom My 6 month old son had an green overall set with animals on it and a green hat that matched with jungle animals.

Hey - whatever floats your boat!

I bought Lei's to wear to our Ohana breakfast for the 4 of us. And matching shirts for the Christmas party (except for Dad - a powder blue Eeyore shirt was just not going to work for him so he's wearing Grumpy) and matching scarves and gloves for the Xmas party as well (nights get nippy and I plan to go till they toss us out).

Otherwise I have simply bought enough Disney shirts for each person to last the whole trip.

My friend (who's daughter (my god daughter) I am taking) thinks that I think she is poor because I purchased 6 shirts for her daughter but really it was because I would feel stupid with the 3 adults wearing all Disney shirts and her (the 11 yr old child) not. Did that make sense??? :rotfl2:

Sounds like a great idea to me. I wore the tie dye tshirts I made and they are LOUD and they are in ALOT of pictures. Wouldn't mind if I had on something a little more sedate. Have a great trip!

I love the matching. Your pictures will turn out more "framable" if you all look like you are together.

That's what I do, too. I pack everything according to color in the hanging garment bags and just put them in the "closet" in our resort room. Each day everyone knows exactly what their going to wear without any arguments or fuss. It helps us find each other when we split up. Since we're all wearing the same/similar colors, it's easy to say, "Look for Daddy, he's wearing red!"

Well, this is the second time my family have gone to WDW, and we have coordinated our clothes. We wear all USA gear; shirts, vests and sweatshirts. It looks good in all our pics! Its kinda a pain to plan for, but then end product is awesome! ;)

Yep, overboard. I can't picture my DW picking out my clothes. Of course I do get the "you're wearing that" every once in a while. That's when I answer "of course not dear, I was just trying it on to make sure it still fits". But hey, whatever works for you.

I think it is great! I usually try to pack that way also, family of colors...
but then I run into the weather factor and what do you do then? So each outfit has "options" which increases the amount of stuff I pack.

Now I need to worry about DN also, the girls like to wear the same things. And I have already bought EVERYONE matching t shirts for one day and the girls all have matching jackets, ponchos and hoodies.
