Well, the parks are open during the summer. I can handle heat in Texas. Besides, the coasters are outside. You got to think of the coasters! Heck, I spent time in Missouri in July. It was like 106 degrees at 10 am! Florida was like in the 90's. I joked with friends that I was going back to Florida to cool off.

Wow this is a really busy thread. I started one on the common board before I was aware of this. I see y'all are trying out Eharmony too. I joined about 3 weeks ago or so. I got matches immediately, actually had about a dozen or more. Not one has gone past level 2, you exchange 5 questions from a list of 30 or so you want them to answer and vis versa. Then you exchange your "Must Haves, Can't Stands" these are traits you want in your ideal person. you choose ten for both. If you aren't interested then you Close them, choose from a list of reasons to tell them, or they close you and give you a reason.

I've tried some others only on the free basis, AmericanSingles.com is cool.

I haven't thought about going to WDW solo either till now. I usually go 1-3 times a year, taking a friend or two with me. I have an uncle who gets me in free so I've yet to have a situation where I couldn't fill the vacancies.

So I'm interested to see how everyone fairs in their pursuits. I've stopped looking for the most part, figure that is when I meet the nice guys the most. Busy college gal though so it can be hard to even care. Ahh I'll just settle for being the bridesmaid and single friend.

I'm so glad I found this thread though.

Native Texan here, born and raised. And I have to tell you that July is really not that big of a problem August is.

I worked at Six Flags Over Texas for four years (my High School Job), in food service. One time while working on an ice cream cart, I got an sunburn on the back of my legs from the suns reflection of some water that was behind me, I was only at the cart for an hour, doing break relief. And then it dosen't help that the whole park is covered in BLACK asphalt. So what ever the weather man says the temp high for the day is add about 20 degrees to it. YUK!

Been living in GA for the past 10 years, and I think its kinda' funny when I hear people griping because its 80 degrees outside. And the heat never bothers me when I go to FL. Just put the long hair in a pony tail or a bun, so it doen't stick to me, and I'm off.

Well, I've been talking to this one guy from Orlando through eharmomny. We've made it to the open communication stage a couple of days ago. He's a detective and 36 years old. I haven't scared him off yet.

I thought solo was without the kids sorry, if you count going with the kids i went with them last june just the three of us, had a great time. WE are planing other trips just the three of us, cruise 05, Disney Land 06, as long as time is kind to us we will have other trips just the three of us.
Just my brother and his wife have never been and the kids want to show them around, so we invited them to meet us at the parks to show them how fun Disney is.

Ugh! And unless you're on the coast along the water somewhere, it's horribly, digustingly HOT! I was in Texas once. That was plenty for me! LOL! My Mom was from Texas.
