I'm back. I was in NYC. Remember? Geez, can't you guys keep track of my schedule?:teeth:

When we landed Fri. at LaGuardia the sky was gray and there was snow, ice, and rain. There were a lot of plane delays later in the day so I'm glad we got in early. The weather didn't stop our fun though. We had such a great time. We bundled up and used umbrellas. The weather Friday made me really appreciate living in FL!!! I could never live up there. We saw Mamma Mia on Broadway. I wanted to get up and dance. I heard the audience did that during that show, but nobody did. It was great though.
Sunday was sunny but terribly cold. 19 degrees in the morning, 7 degrees with the windchill factored in. I went ice skating in Rockefeller Center. It was fun. Always wanted to do that. And I didn't fall once! And no, I wasn't holding the rail. I think roller blading in the past helped me.
The subway was interesting. On Friday right after we got on, a man stood in the middle of the car and said loudly, "Can I have your attention!!" while holding something in a plastic bag in his arms. I thought to myself "we're going to die!". (Later I find out that a bomb went off on a subway car in Moscow that very day). He starts talking about furs and pulls out---------- a dead skinned animal. Ahhh yes, that's really great:eek:
When we rode the subway on Sunday there was a great Mexican band playing in the car we were in. So I asked for a margarita. Gotta love that subway. You never know what will happen.
And shop. Boy did we shop. Paid a visit to Canal St. too.;)
When we got back Sunday night we went outside the airport without coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. It was breezy and a full moon was visible just above the palm trees. It was so great to be back in FL!

As for eHarmony- not one damn match :(

Hi and welcome to pirateeast and luvdisney81:wave2:

hi leggs

don't feel bad, eharmoney can't get me a match either.

I'd like to know how some people can get eight and others get zero! LOL! Not fair!! Speaking of which. My eharmony guy seems to have dropped off the planet. I better check in. At least tell him I hope his week is going well. ;)

My eHarmony guy has sent me three messages today. I"ve replied to two. Will wait till tomorrow to reply to the other. Apprently I'm the first who didn't insist on a picture from him before I would talk to him. I had two close on me so now I'm down to six. Still only talking to this one guy. I need to go to bed as it's an early day tomorrow and also a long day!

I think its kinda' funny when I hear people griping because its 80 degrees outside. And the heat never bothers me when I go to FL. Just put the long hair in a pony tail or a bun, so it doen't stick to me, and I'm off.

Totally! Oh, and sleeveless shirts ONLY!

I'm from New Orleans and lived in Shreveport LA and Hattiesburg MS. This place has nothing on that area when it comes to miserable heat.

What's with the electronics tonight? I was getting an error message when I tried to post on the DIS, but I could back up and look at a thread. :earseek: My radio is occasionally getting that "snow" sound, can't get on MSN Messenger, and a friend's e-mail is going nuts with his stuff going to another address. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...sometimes you wonder if you should go back to snail mail. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... :scratchin

PLEASE STOP QUOTING THE PHOTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, that was OVER a YEAR AGO!! Some days I can fit into those jeans, and some days I can't. (certainly couldn't right now... nachos... yum)

Oh, and I'm not hiding. I didn't get off of work until 10:00
Ah well, as long as nobody died, I guess I shouldn't complain. At least I think my boss is thinking about keeping me around for a while now. He asked me today if I want to go to an Atlantic City conference in October; that's a relief. :)

Legs -- thanks for the recap. Sounds fun! Will we be seeing pictures? You sound like me talking about my trip to London -- my favorite thing was riding the tube! :teeth: I was too chicken to try out the subway during the fewer than 24 hours that I was in NYC. Oh well, I'll just have to go back!

I think I would have peed on myself when that guy made that "announcement." That's a good way to get SHOT! So was he making an anti-fur statement? Hmmm... making note to self about my spay/neuter education campaign...

How about the weather in Las Vegas or the lower part of California, like Palm Springs? I love it! Last time I was in LV it got up to 100 degrees. Man, you can really loose some weight there. You are always drinking so much water, that you are really not that hungry.

Yes, I love wearing my short sleeve or sleeveless shirts and shorts. A couple of years ago, here in GA, I was still wearing shorts in late Jan. I haven't been able to do that in a while. But, I try to wear them for as long as I can.

DOC. did you ever really fit into them ???????

okay guy thing here aaaahhhhhh trying to say aaaahhhh

meaning that they are aaaahhhhh GOT IT very nice fitting ::yes:: ::yes::   ::yes:: ::yes::

DOC, kind of suprised that photo made it over on this board.

Just wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone. Had four more matches on eharmony today. I'm starting to feel popular.

Need to go and run and grade papers as progress reports need to go home tomorrow and I'm on the DIS!

The solution: buy bigger jeans. :)

Suzanne-

How many matches does that make?

12!!!???

I'm jealous. I have match envy.

eHarmony was mentioned in our paper the other day. It was classified as a matchmaker service, different from Match.com. EHarmony claims 2 million members and more than 2,000 marriages since 2001. It uses an in-depth questionnaire and formula for making the matches. Match.com is online personals and has more than 12 million members. Match gets reports from about 75 members each month announcing an engagement or marriage.

Amazing. And I'm getting less than what I'm looking for quality wise from Match and nothing at all since the first guy who is either really busy at work and doesn't talk at all...LOL! Or he's vanished. He hasn't closed the thread though...from eharmony. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...maybe we need to see Suzanne's profile and answer in a similar way, Legs!
