HG is just one little teeny, tiny step ahead of EG. Can you believe this? Two at the exact same time. I've never done this in my life. And I can't remember who I told what to
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Have fun, Legs!!!!

Subconsciously, there's a reason you hugged him and didn't kiss! Hang in there and see what happens. :) Welcome back!!

Thanks , I haven't been around here in a while. Just busy working lots and lots. And as soon as I can get the mental image of those gorgeous baby blues looking at me I think I'll be ok.

Oh...now a member of a military single's web site...and those interested in them.
That sounds like a PERFECT site for you!:D

Hey all! I'm still alive. I had a shot with a guy this weekend, but I totally blew it. He's a friend of mine from college who lives in Los Angeles. He was home for a week, but I was busy the whole time. So jokingly i sent him an email saying if you want to meet me I'm free at midnight. So he wrote back that he would meet me at midnight. He lives an hour away. So he drove to my house, we hung out for two hours and then he said he had to go, so I walked him out and as he stood on my porch looking at me I knew I should kiss him, but I screwed up and gave him a hug instead. Now he's back in CA and I feel like I totally bungled my chance. ARgh! And still I work too much. Whoever thought theater was glamourous doesn't know the joys of turning dirty smelly tights right side out so the actress can wear them again.

Hi Costume,
Good to hear from you. Don't worry about blowing it. If it is meant to be, and he really likes you and wants to pursue you-- your giving him a hug instead of a kiss is not going to change things.
Personally, I would want a man that took the initiative to kiss me first not the other way around.
The tights thing sounds gross :scared:

Everyone must be busy, I found this on page 5! I just wanted to say  .

Costume, I have never kissed a guy first. Don't be so hard on yourself. :D

PW, the miliatary site does sound perfect for you!

Legs, I bet if you talk on the phone to these guys it would be easier to keep up with them. At least for me, if I can associate a conversation with a voice it makes it easier to remember. Have fun. Hopefully, you will be having some meetings/first dates soon!!! :D

Page 5?

I've been revising my resume...again! Think I'll e-mail it to an agency tomorrow and look for an appointment with them possibly on Tuesday. Have to get moving on it. I can see the possibility of a gov't. job will take quite a while! :(

Any exciting plans for the weekend? I'm running to Barnes and Noble just to get out for a while. Catch you later!

P.S. Is Suzanne still kicking? ;) Haven't seen her around in ages. Hmmm...must be lots of time with the bf...even though he's a distance. ;)

Maybe she went for a visit ;)

I went on a Pampered Chef binge on eBay. I wanted the dough roller and bought the wood model instead of the newer plastic model. This seller said the roller was opened but never used. Sounded like it should be in like new condition. The photo looked good, but when I got the roller today I noticed the wood on both sides of the larger is cracked and dry looking and several cracks come around to the side of the wood that will be rolled against the dough. And the handle looked worn. I was not happy and I emailed the seller to tell them this and that I cannot leave positive feedback for them. Usually I never have a problem and leave posive feedback. I feel if the items have flaws and you don't disclose that in the item description, then you are deceiving me.

Hmmm.......Barnes and Noble sounds nice. I love book stores! Especially with the smell of coffee in them:D Nothing like the smell of new books and coffee. I think it would be great in B&N in the day time during the week. I can't stand it on the weekends. Maybe I'm weird but I feel like a book store should be quiet like a library. On the weekends it's like a zoo. People are talking loudly and all the chairs are taken. The last time I was there looking for a book on the shelf, the lady next to me got a cell call and stood there and talked for 10 min.

Excuse me, I think I am PMSing:o

Oh, and another thing......:duck:
DD was scheduled to have her dance photo done this Saturday and the studio calls today and said the costume for dd's dance will not arrive because that company went out of business! :earseek: The recital is 6/19. The owner of the studio lost a lot of money on these costumes (it was a few other dances too). So new costumes are on order and the owner paid for these thank goodness. Hopefully they will get here by the dress rehearsal on 6/16. They arranged to have photos done at the dress rehearsal instead.

OK...I think I'm done ranting and raving now:teeth:

And at the rate I am posting, I will keep this thread on page one all by myself:p

PW, I know how not fun job hunting can be. But I do love book stores! I just went to B&N yesterday to buy Summer Sisters after reading about it on Snoopy's beach book thread. I'm actually not surprised about government jobs taking so long. In the school district I work for it sometimes takes months for new people to get paid.

Legs, that sucks about the ebay seller. I wonder if she might refund you the money? Do they sell any new PC stuff on ebay? I really need to buy a chopper. I bought my mom one when I went to a party once, and then bought myself an imitation one that has since landed in the trash.

Yes, they do sell brand new in the box/bag PC stuff. That's all I'm buying from now on. Must be never opened! The 4 scrapers I just bought are brand new as well as 9x9 stoneware pan (that came with a bonus new in the bag mini spatula) and an apple slicer.

I saw Summer Sisters on that thread also. Have you started it yet? Let me know how you like it. I wonder if it's in the library yet.

SS is not a new book so you definitely should be able to find it in the library (copyright 1998). I read 50 pages the first night which for me is a good sign. In my younger days I could easily read a book in one or two days. I'm not sure why I have changed so much. SS definitely draws you in.

:flower1: Yipee!! The seller refunded my money!!!:flower1:

He assured me it was not cracked when he packed it. Yeah right:rolleyes: This wood looks old, dry, and cracked.

I seem to have a better flow of communication with HG who is across the state rather than with EG who is in my area.

Oye! My computer is STILL not fixed!! Ugh! :o So I am utilizing the resources at school for now.

Ok this week can end now, this week has been terrible except the fact that Chris and I seem to get closer everyday.

Yesterday morning somewhere about 3 a.m. my air cond. goes out and it was extremely humid that night. :( That's how my day started. So now i am hot and sticky, yuck! Chris woke me up accidently (thought I would be up) at about 7 a.m. so I finally fall back alseep because I don't have to work till 12 (night shift :( ) at 7:30 a.m. the company that last fixed my car after my hood/windshield fiasco calls to ask if I have received another check for them from my insurance agency! AT 7:30 A.M.!!! I have caller ID so I knew it was her, I picked up and was like "hello," she asked her question and all I said was "I am still sleeping I will call you later." So then a few days before my dad told me to visit him at work and he would give me some $, I make it a point to get there in enough time before work to be able to visit him for a little bit and he didn' t cash his check (this is not a big deal, just an addition to the day) so in order to get there in enough time I didn't do some other things I wanted to do. :( So now big deal, then I get back in my car and notice I am on E, Ugh!! I go to work and I get a call from one of my accounts which I am trying to figure out why they suppossedly were not paid from my main office. So I have to go through all that as I walk in the door. THen I received my paycheck. Without warning they knock me down to part-time, which intern drops my insurance, and screws up my vacation accural. So my head boss in on vacation, I talk to next in line, all he has to say is I didn't do it, so it isn't my fault you will have to call payroll. WHAT!?! That is all you have to say to me, and you aren't even going to give me a number to call!!! So I call my friend at another store who I knew would know who to call, and the guy I needed to talk to was there, I talk to him and he said I will get back to you, did he? No of course not. And neither did they lady from my main office about that account! Grrr! This is all within the first 3 hours of work. I still have 6 hrs to go, luckly 1 of those is lunch and I can leave. Not only was I having a bad day so was Chris, with his pay and hours too. It's so frustrating. So while we were at work he text messages me with : I love you and everything will be ok when you get home, I will be there to help you feel better. :) That made my day.

Ok I think I am done venting for now. :) Thank you.

PW: Job hunting is never fun. Upon my return from FL I may be job hunting too, especially if they do not fix the current problem at work. :wizard: Good luck to you. That site sounds like it is perfect for you :)

Legs: That is terrible about the costume! I hope it all works out for you. Also I am glad you got your $ back from that seller. check to see if you have a local PC consultant she might be able to get you a replacement at no charge. Just don't mention you bought it on ebay. ;)

TB: I wish I had time to read, I don't even have extra time to think. LOL But for me if I like a book I can read it fast, but I also have troubles reading and comprehending, I have to read slow, sometimes I have to reread things to understand them. More than the normal person. Text books are extremely hard for me to read, one reason why I am going into a handson industry.

Suzanne: how is the BF??

Costume: I know where you are coming from but truthfully if it is going to happen, it will no matter where he is. Plus long distance relations isn't easy maybe he didn't kiss you because he is afraid or the distance....
