Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

No waxing here, Disney. I don't like looking for torture when I don't have to. LOL!

So we are now the proud new owners of a Nissan Pulsar!!! (HeHe, I hadn't even heard of this car before we bought it!!!) It is in exceptionally good condition and the best part is....it runs!!! Unlike my Mystique which is just taking up driveway space at the moment. The sellers of the car are getting ready to move and have a 25' sailboat that they are looking to get rid of. It doesn't look like much right now, but WG and I are thinking about taking it. WG's brother works for Hinkley Yachts so we are hoping to get him to come up here and check it out for us.

WG was joking around the other day and saying that if we get the boat, then we will own a house, three cars and a sailboat....people will think we are rich!!! ;)

In preparation for my best friend's wedding, since she isn't going to have bridesmaids, she asked me if I would still do the "getting ready for the wedding" stuff with her. She wants us to get our nails and toes done and get leg and bikini waxes. Neither of us have had our legs waxed before, and she was reading up on it and saw that you had to let the hair grow to 1/2" before you get the waxing, approx. 6 weeks. Have any of you waxed before? Do I really have to become a hairy monster before the waxing? It might not be so bad if it were colder out (and I could wear pants all the time)....but here in FL, Sept. and Oct. will be HOT!!!

Disney:
Ugh, Mercury Mistake! Uhh I mean Mystique. LOL (I have one too, the problems so far Water pump went out twice, belt tensioner, idler pulley and belt all went out atleast one. I need new brakes pads and rotors, my ignition lock cylinder sticks  , my trunk acts funny it doesn't pop up like it should, I have needed new tires, I am sure there is more. Good think I work in the automotive business right now huh, and a bonus that Chris is a mechanic, discounted parts and free labor!

Waxing....
I have waxed my own legs once or twice, not really what I would call fun. :) And yes it does have to be pretty long before you can do it other wise the wax has nothing to grab on too. But if you guys went to a day spa they might have other proceedures you can do, I don't know if the do this on legs but you could ask about threading, it is a neat process. I had my eyebrows threaded about 3 weeks ago and just now am needing to get them done again. Lasts longer than waxing. But both are a little painful. After all they are ripping many hairs out all at once. From what I here get a pedicure but not the day of the wedding especially in her case, get it the day before. And I want to get a full body massage the day before I get married. (Don't worry "guys" no plans yet. :) )

Owning all that stuff....
Wow that is awesome. All we have is our own cars (My mistake and his 91 mustang) and my tiny little apartment, but that's ok that is enough bills for now. :) And we will get more someday. Congrats on the new to you car girly!

Are ya nervous, anxious, and excited? I know I am. It scares me to think that I will be a long ways from anyone I know. I didn't really go away to college, I go to school in Chicago and I grew up in the South Suburbs of the CIty and most of my family still lives there and so do I in my own LITTLE apartment. :)

Its funny - I went to the same university for undergrad and graduate school (UT Austin). I never saw a sign advertising the WDW College Program. When I went to turn in my final dissertation a couple months ago what do you think I saw? ;) I think I have missed my opportunity. I am so excited for y'all though - I hope you will still keep posting. Do you know what areas you will be working in?

MDP, I'm a card person too so I completely understand! :D My db is not a card person, but I know that he has kept every card I have given him. Goodbyes are tough - but not so tough if you know there is going to be a hello. Will db be visiting you at Disney?

The WDWCP wasn't advertised at my school either, one of my friends has done it 3 times so I already knew about it and I asked my program director and signed up! When I come back though I am going to try to become a campus rep for my school to let other people know about it!!!

Goodbyes are tough yes but it will be worth it. I think it will just make us stronger. Chris has both cards that I have given him too. He is a sentimental guy he just doesn't like to show it very often. Like (this is so cute too....) I rode in his car and I shed a lot, so there were a few of my hairs on his seat and he saved them. :) Aww.. The other day I ate lunch with him at work and a few of my hairs were loose, so he grabbed a few and put them in his tool box. :lovestruc Good to know that there are other card people out there too. :)

Today was dd's last day of 1st grade. I left work early so I could get her in car pick-up. She is so excited when she gets to do that and not have to stay in aftercare. She really wanted to win the class mouse (Digger) so she wrote a note to the teacher and drew a pic of the mouse. The teacher drew a name and dd won! I saw her approach the car holding a little cage. It is her very first pet and she is so excited. We stopped at the pet store and got a larger cage with a wheel and water bottle in it along with food and sawdust bedding. My $24 dollar mouse:eek: She changed his first name from Digger to Tigger (Digger will now be his last name). I tried to get her to change it to Mickey :teeth: but she didn't go for that.
Then we made pizza using pizza dough I bought in the grocery store bakery and a pizza stone I bought at Target. She was excited to make her first pizza.

Aww.. That is so cute :cutie: I remember my first pet, my cousins wanted a do and they were like a single dollar short so they asked me and I gave it to them and he was part mine. :) But I have always had a dog for almost my whole life. I love dogs and when I was about 7 or 8 my dad got a cat, I didn't like her at first but I got really close with her over time and now she is gone to kitty heaven ( :) ) Having a pet is a great learning experience. And congrats on her finishing 1st grade!!!! That is exciting too!!!

Had a match from eharmony. NOT! This guys is 47, a truck driver, don't know what happened with the wife, but he says she was a good woman and he was fortunate to have her...just what I want to hear. And he has FIVE, yes, 5 kids! :faint: I guess he's still working on his profile since so many things were still blank. Do they really send out profiles before they're complete? Or did he just skip over a lot!!!!! NOT INTERESTED! Plus he's in NC. Not running to another state for anything. LOL! This STINKS! Closed him out fast. Eharmony really missed the boat on this!

Does HE know what happened his wife, LOL!!!
Oh gosh, 5 kids :earseek: I don't think I could deal with that.

My profile still has blanks, so yes, they do send out incomplete profiles. I'm filling it in slowly as I think of answers. I hate answering all those questions.

When HG replies back to me I think we will be in open communication. That's scary. I like having Eharmony between us with the little questions and lists. It all seems so anonymous. I still don't know what he looks like. He does have a photo posted- just hasn't shown it yet.
I am almost in open communication with most recent guy too. I think I'll call him EG (Engineer Guy. He's an engineer. Brilliant, huh?). I finally saw his photo and I don't think I like the looks of him. He's not hideous but there's just something about him I don't care for and that's influencing how I feel about him. That's why eHarmony says get to know the person first from the inside before you see the outside.

Well, I'm back! I'm just busy selling stuff on eBay. I'm trying to get rid of a lot of junk! No time for romance when you're hauling stuff to the post office. :)

Not really nervous, a little anxious (my summer's going pretty slowly), and kinda excited. I went to school about 400 miles away from home, didn't know anyone going in, and I've always been the independent one in my family anyways, so it wasn't really all that hard.

Hi,
I've got a ton of stuff to SELL on eBay but right now I'm busy BUYING on eBay
Selling is so time consuming. Taking a good photo, researching the starting price, listing it, writing the description, figure the shipping, find a box, package the item, take it to be shipped. I'm exhausted just thinking about. Buying is much more fun:teeth:
I do get a break on shipping. I get a 40% discount off UPS at work.

Yes, I have to admit the 5 kids scared me off! :faint:

Engineer, Legs! I'm more attracted to the brilliant type myself. :teeth: My dad was an Engineer. Extremely smart man who also had common sense! I just figured that's how guys are...they have common sense. Wow! Were my eyes opened! :faint: When I told DHT that I'd rather date a smart guy than one with money, he said I'm rare. LOLOL! However, I've found there really should be a balance!! Married for "love" the first time around and was poorer than anything. Not doing that again! Sorry, the truck driver gets crossed off. I know they can make good money, but still...I need an intellectual guy or I get bored easily. DHT...if I could just clone him! I've told him I want to do that. LOL! :teeth:

Hi, Barry! :wave2: Welcome back!

I married for love the first time. Next time there must be some of both.

A guy I previously dated always used the word 'don't' instead of 'doesn't' in a sentence. I tried not to let it bother me and instead focus on his good points but in the end......I just couldn't take it anymore (runs off screaming). It drove me up the wall:crazy: I could not live with that.

I've found that eHarmony sends me guys that are educated, professional men and I really like that :D

Yes, this is the first time eharmony messed up with me. LOL! And I sent them e-mail letting them know that!!

Don't instead of doesn't? That would drive me up the wall! I couldn't deal with that on a daily basis. There just things on the "absolutely" not list...smoking, drinking excessively, anything pierced on a guy. :crazy2: Language...cannot be a gutter mouth, and language...that they must know how to use it! I went through just a little bit of it with husband number one. I used to tell him that he had his own dictionary. Turns out his dad had his own dictionary, too. Drove me nuts! LOL!

FL::MinnieMo
Where are you??? Are you celebrating the Lightning's Stanley Cup win?

I can't wait until one of you actually meets a guy from eHarmony! I still question whether a personality test can predict compatibility. I have a feeling that more marriage-minded people use eHarmony and that's why they report a greater success rate.

Legs, that is great that eHarmony is sending you professional guys - I guess they must try to match educational levels.

PW, I think 5 kids would scare me off too - unless they are all grown and out of the house. And being a truck driver would scare me off as well. LOL!! I'm sure there are many, many wonderful truck drivers out there who are quite intelligent - I just wouldn't want to live with the lifestyle.

I wonder if most people who marry young, marry for love? And then its like a big surprise to find out that marriage involves so much more than just love.

OK, I'm now in open communication with HG (Harley Guy). He's in healthcare management. He just now opened his photo to me and it's a pic of him dog sledding in Alaska . A man that loves travel and adventure:D :faint: He's tall with a nice build but his head is only 1/2 inch big and he's wearing sunglasses so it's hard to tell what he really looks like.

I'm now in open communication with EG too! He likes to travel also! I believe I wrote long answers to the 3 questions he sent me and his replies I just got were very short one line sentences. I feel like I talked too much, LOL! I hope I didn't over do it.

HG is just one little teeny, tiny step ahead of EG. Can you believe this? Two at the exact same time. I've never done this in my life. And I can't remember who I told what to

No, not at all. LOL! If a guy is going to be away part of the time, definitely give me a military guy! Oh...now a member of a military single's web site...and those interested in them. ;) :teeth: :faint: To be honest, I didn't even look at that guy's educational level. I saw all the blank areas and said forget it. Between that, the 5 kids, and the truck driver bit. I expect a guy with at least a Bachelor's. I have a lousy 2 year degree from a business school...AAS. Plus 1.5 years completed in college. I may fair (or is that fare) better in VA! They actually gave credit to my sister for her business school classes...and she didn't get a degree from them! The college in FL didn't recognize them as being accredited so no credit. :( We'll see.

LOLOLOLOL! You are tooooooooooooooooo funny!

Hey all! I'm still alive. I had a shot with a guy this weekend, but I totally blew it. He's a friend of mine from college who lives in Los Angeles. He was home for a week, but I was busy the whole time. So jokingly i sent him an email saying if you want to meet me I'm free at midnight. So he wrote back that he would meet me at midnight. He lives an hour away. So he drove to my house, we hung out for two hours and then he said he had to go, so I walked him out and as he stood on my porch looking at me I knew I should kiss him, but I screwed up and gave him a hug instead. Now he's back in CA and I feel like I totally bungled my chance. ARgh! And still I work too much. Whoever thought theater was glamourous doesn't know the joys of turning dirty smelly tights right side out so the actress can wear them again.
