Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Sounds like you enjoyed your birthday evening, TB. :) So who IS "we"? ;)

I agree with SSB...they must have realized how incredibly stupid they were to let you slip! Not that they are stupid, but what they did was.

I'm wondering if tomorrow will be a snow day for DS. Not much snow today, but they stink at clearing the roads here. I know the road out is really icy. Guess I'll be checking DS's school web site to see how I find out. They haven't had a snow day yet. When we had the 16" of snow a couple weeks ago, it was while they were off for winter break. :)

PW... heard lots o' snow heading that way... from your neck o' the woods all the way to SSB's old neck o' the woods in Chicago. Had message from Dan at work saying a few inches of snow today and then LOTS on Friday... ack! Was funny, as when lived there, seemed like big snow fairly rare.. but sure as heck could be cold as bejeebus with that wind off of the Lake...haha!

Always refused to take cab and would walk from EL station to work, and some of them so brutal that I would actually start LOL as how crazy it was... haha!

Hope that all are having a nice night, and great Thursday!

Really, SSB? I see we have flurries for tomorrow and "SNOW" for Sunday! I just received a card today from my brother-in-law and his wife in Colorado. They lived in CA 23 years and just moved a year ago. They said in their area they only had about 1" of snow, and it melted right away! They're finding it strange that CA, AZ, and UT have so much rain and snow while they have "arrid" weather!!

When we had 14" of snow a few weeks ago, I sent an e-mail to a friend in VA Beach to see what they got. He said not a flake stuck. He's on the ocean and the wind blew it away. Ha! Blew it to us! LOL!

You have a nice night and a great Thursday, too! :)

Oops... sorry. Guess that you are all way more in tune with than me... way down here in "almost always warm Orlando"... haha! Hope that the snow storms not TOO bad... and if school closing a good thing, shall hope for also.

With the multiple hurricanes here, ended up being so many darn days that they redid calendar and took away many of the other open days later... :(

Your weather report was probably right and it just changed. :) A little while ago I was watching the news. They have a different forecast again. Ha! I don't think they know. Just a guess.

I am tired of the cold up here in the north, lol. I want warm weather. Was not happy when my mom told me more was on the way. I am so glad my parents moved from the Chicago area many years ago.

My XH sent cards and got me gifts after the divorce. I think it was guilt.

I should be thankful it's not snowing, but it's cold for Florida down here. I miss my 70 and 80 degree weather that we were having last week. When I lived up north, the cold weather was just accepted. I remember when the 50's were warm. Just have lived in Florida too long!

Know what you mean... swore after coming from Chicago that I would never wear a coat into work here, in the morning... and getting more and more likely as the years pass that I may give into that rule....haha!!

Hope all have a great Thursday... :)

Believe it or not, we have people here just wearing their suits for work...no coats! There's snow on the ground for Pete's sake! LOL! I have on a turtle neck sweater, a zip front sweater with a hood, and then put my jacket on over that...and my gloves. :) Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! No school today for the 1/2" or less of snow.

Methinks SSB is crazy!! :earboy2:

Sandy, no fun "we" - just some friends I work with. They are fun though!! :D

I have been wearing my long winter wool coat. I even wear it in the office, lol.

I just take it day by day at work. It's all I can do. I am not happy at all with this lady that used to be the manager. She is not friendly and doesn't communicate well. The physician dr. moved her laterally to another position before I started so we are supposed to report to the director dr. instead of her. But he doesn't know enough of my job details to orient me so the previous manager is doing most of it. He did have my file, now she has it again. Maybe she is the manager again?? I am not getting a good orientation from her or the director dr. and just feel overwhelmed. I cry just about every day in the car when I leave. I feel like going back to my old job but I do like this area better and being near family.

{{hugs}} legs...hopefully everything will calm down here shortly and fall into place. It's a big jump moving and everything. Just the thought scares me.

Glad you had fun with them!

I have an interview on Wednesday! Seems DHT put in a good word somewhere. :lovestruc

Legs...Hang in there! Sorry she stinks at training you. :( New jobs are tough enough in the beginning without getting "friction" from someone. Keep that chin up!!!

I'm missing my dogs tonight...Copper in doggy heaven, Harley in Colorado, and Boo. Copper, my beagle, was the best birthday present I ever received (my ex did good!). She would have been ten years old this week. I remember being so overwhelmed by how much I loved her as a puppy that I was actually a little worried I wouldn't love her as much when she grew up. Silly girl. :earboy2:

Thanks for the hugs :D

If I had to do the move/job change all over again......I wouldn't do it. I underestimated how tough it would be. I think all I did was go from the frying pan into the fire. I think I will talk to the director today about the previous manager and this job.

TB...sorry you're missing your pups. :(

Legs...good luck with that conversation!! I hope something positive comes out of it.

Legs, I am so sorry things don't look any brighter. Were you able to talk with the director?

I just got back from a walk at Rice University with my outdoors group. I met some nice people. One woman is getting her Ph.D. in genetics. :earseek: I can't even imagine.

Sandy, how is the excel coming along?

Wow, Genetics! Now that's interesting!!! :)

Excel...bah humbug! There's so much to it! I have a tutorial disk. There's 83 "pages" on formulas. It's fine walking through it all, but you really need to practice this stuff, not just try it once and that's it. I do have my Office XP book from class before I moved. I'll be using that the next few days. Thanks for asking, TB!! Glad you had a good time and met some nice people. :)
