Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

Anyone watching the Bachelorette? It starts at 9 tonight. I think I will watch since it is in NYC and I love NYC. Plus I remember the girl....she was a contestant on a previous Bachelor.

No TV tonight here. Just the DIS and the radio. :)

Legs...I don't know if I wished I had listened to it, but with 20/20 hindsight I saw things that I was blind to at the time. And with a couple relationships since then, there's things in those relationships that were really good that were missing with him. Made me wonder a lot. And DS's supposed to be here!! :)

I'd think your credit union would be a good place to go. Maybe call a couple banks also.

SSB...Glad you were off the road an additional day. :teeth: Maybe tomorrow! But you're right...no going to Boynton Beach! LOL! P.S. Did your doc tell you when you can drive? Oh! I bet you haven't been back to see him yet...no driving yet!! ;)

I'm listening more to my instincts now then I did back then. It's a learning experience. If I had listen to my instincts I wouldn't have my daughter and I can't imagine life without her now. Since listening to my instincts, my mother has come to the conclusion that I hate men. I don't hate them, just don't put up with all of that junk sometimes. Life is too short.

Brianna went to the dentist today and she has two loose teeth. This kind of hit me weird. Wasn't ready for that. ACK!

How was the show, Legs22? SSB had seen the comercials for, and meant to try to catch... as didn't want to fall behind on the thread.... haha!

Have been working on my own Sopranos marathon during my lock up... and almost have made it through the first three seasons... ack!!! Not historically much of a TV watcher... but have seen more this past week than over the last year combined... :o

Too wild about Brianna's teeth, S.! All too fast those years pass by... and she'll have permenant teeth around the corner. Can't believe how fast, so very fast...

Thanks for the hellos, everyone!

SSB, I'm glad you didn't give in to the temptation and drive yesterday. Now, just hang in there today. And let me know if you need any further...um...motivation from Nurse Kaycee.

The Thai food will be there when the doc gives you the okay to drive, I promise! :D

Congrats to Bri on the loose teeth! :teeth: I'm sure she'll be looking forward to visits from the tooth fairy!! :teeth: DS has been working on his 12-year molars...a little bit early. He did lose a tooth a few weeks ago. The permanent ones are almost in! :faint:

SSB...sorry for all the movies. Ha! I guess that will be enough for quite a while once you're up and around.

Kaycee...Thai food will still be there? You sound like a Weight Watchers spokesperson. ;) I remember them telling us that in the 80s. Ha ha! Now they tell you that you can fit anything in...I guess. HATE their newer programs and haven't been with them in ages.

Sandy, it sounds like your husband was something else! :)

I caught some of the Bachelorette. I liked the teacher who gave her the teddy bear. She seemed to really like the gallery owner who carried her down the stairs. Why such a bold move? Didn't work for me but they do seem like they have chemistry.

:teeth: That he could be, TB. LOL! But he was a sweet person, too.

A guy carried her down the stairs? If they had chemistry, maybe that contributed a bit more. Don't think it could get me all on its own.

I think he either wanted to do something big to impress her - or to tell the other men that he was claiming the prize. She definitely seemed to really like him. There was something about him that I liked too - he was smart to take her upstairs. :) I think though that she could have walked down the stairs by herself - especially since they just met.

I turned off my eharmony profile today. I know I am not ready yet.

I'm sure you know yourself, TB. :) The guys will be around when you're ready.

Any exciting weekend plans? Nothing here yet, but that could change. :) Will have to see what's going on.

Had an interview on Wednesday that went well...I think. It seemed like it to me, but you never know what the interviewer thinks for sure. He was telling me about someone working for him who didn't impress him at all in the beginning. She was just out of college, no experience, but she really wanted to work at this place. He said she kept calling and bugging him. He's happy with her! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... :scratchin He's interviewing until the end of next week and wants someone in on February 1. He asked if that fits in my timeframe. It certainly does! So I'm crossing my fingers on this. **sigh!!**

Fingers and toes crossed for you Sandy!!

I'm going horseback riding tomorrow morning and am so excited! Tomorrow night I am going to my cousin's birthday party - I can't believe she is turning 30! When she first moved to Houston a year ago she wanted to introduce me to her fiance's friend. Guess who I will be meeting tomorrow night? She is way more excited than me.

Thank you, Deb!! :) Sounds like you have a fun and interesting weekend planned. Good luck at the party!! :teeth:

Hope everyone else is doing well! :)

Horseback riding sounds fun! Let us know what happens at the party!

I am driving dd down to see her dad then he will drive her back to me late Mon. afternoon. While I'm down there I'm going to make sure the outside repairs were corrected so that the painter can start on Mon. and I may clean the grout inside in the high traffic areas. Now that sounds like a fun day!

PW- Good luck with the job!

Yesterday I really felt like I wanted to move back and get my old job back. My old co-worker asked what I was waiting for and I told him....the thought of moving all my stuff back, lol. I was ok in hospital orientation Mon-Thurs. but on Fri. I was back in the office and I couldn't stand being there. It's so quiet you can hear a pin drop and there's no one to talk to. I miss my old co-worker. The lady orienting me is not any fun (no personality). Very by the book type person. Ugh!

It's 3:54. I wonder if TB is on her horse. :)

That's too funny you mentioned missing your job, Legs. This morning I was thinking of the people I worked with at the hospital. Actually miss them (and the job) from time to time. Change is difficult. I hope it improves as you go along.

Thanks for the wishes on the job. I'd really enjoy this one. Ack!

I'm back from horseback riding. I had so much fun! :cool1: The horse I rode was even named Mickey! :earboy2: Since we rode in a national forest it was a slow ride -way too many trees to ride any faster. Very, very relaxing though! My dogs have been smelling me since I got home - I know they can't place the scent!

Legs, I hope things start looking up for you. Maybe you will meet some people in other departments that you like more. I think it only takes one buddy to make a difference - even if its only meeting him or her for lunch occassionally.

A horse named Mickey! That's too much! :teeth: I bet your pups are going nuts trying to identify that scent.

Is it really only Saturday? Ugh! DS is off on Monday also. :earseek: It's going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong weekend!

Had a message from a guy at the single parent web site that wants to chat. Hmmmmmmmmm. A couple things I'm hesitant with about this one...He has 4 kids, 3 of them boys. :earseek: :earseek: A major thing...he's a smoker! :( That's one of my make or break things. Don't change on that. Being a reformed smoker myself, I can't deal with smoking. We'll see. Haven't heard anything back since I sent him a brief two sentence reply.

long weekend here too. Bri and I both sick... she didn't go to school friday. What a weekend.

Sorry to hear that you and Bri are both sick, Suzanne. I hope you're both feeling better very soon.

I had fun at the party last night but the friend wasn't able to make it. Its amazing to me how many people were there - definitely over 50. I don't even know that many people in Houston to invite to a party! Of course they were almost all coupled and like five women were pregnant. My cousin and fiance are getting married in April and are inviting 600 people!

FM - I hope you both feel better very soon.

Sandy - I wouldn't want to date a smoker either. Its just too big of a health risk. How does this site work? Do you post a match-like profile? Best wishes for meeting a good guy!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I'm very happy to have the day off tomorrow. I have told myself that need to mail my provisional license application on Tuesday. So I have work to do.
