Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

I just didn't know that it was going to be so hard to find a single unattached normal guy. I guess my expectations are too high!

On another note, I'm still washing clothes and packing as I go. I didn't even know that we owned this many clothes!

I feel the same way. I'm starting to believe the old saying of kissing a bunch of toads before Prince Charming. Sheesh! Only I'm not going to kiss all of them. Just dealing with them is enough and counts in my book. I should seriously make a list so I can see how many toads I've spoken to the last few months. ;) They MUST count towards getting to Prince Charming! :teeth:

Good luck with the laundry. LOL! My dogs have escaped. The little one has been back a couple times, but when I try to get him, he takes off again. I guess I better go hunt them down again.

I've been out of the "dating scene" for many moons, now - but since my DS just turned 14, I FINALLY seem to be having time to myself (when I'm not driving him around, making his meals or ironing his T-shirts - funny how I don't mind doing it for him, but really resented doing it for my ex - oh yea - he didn't understand that dating STOPS after marriage - maybe that was why. . . )

I've thought about that eHarmony thing & have even gone through with the questions, but just can't seem to make myself PAY for it + I'm a little bit skittish about this dating over the 'net thing. A friend of mine FLEW TO TEXAS (from NJ) to meet someone that she had been talking to for only a bit & he was a WACKO (from Waco of all places.)

I agree that dating does seem like another job. On the few dates that I've had over the past years, they either REALLY like me and want to move in like tomorrow or else I like them and they turn out to have many of the same things like my ex. . . .

Thanks for listening!!

WELCOME TZMOM!!:bounce:

Of course you can join our lovely thread. :)

I am going to go through all my stuff and sell a lot and give some stuff away. And then I am going to start packing, I am going to leave my little apartment :( / :) but I haven't yet decided where I am going till I leave for FL. Thought about my best friends, but his GF is uncomfortable (he doesn't care but...) I don't know if I would do that to her, even though she won't actually say anything. Oh well. I can go to my mom's but..... not sure if my step dad and I can live together. We didn't get along before but we do now that I don't live there. And pretty much everyone has said that I can live with them. Oh I don't know. :scratchin

FL::MinnieMo A normal guy???? I didn't know there were any. LOL

D845: Glad to hear the WG is going good. I always say you'll know when it is time. & If you think it is and is really isn't somehow you'll know that too. It's happened to me twice. That's what Unanswered prayers are all about. Cray I know but true.

:firefight : The RV was for both comfort and space for all my stuff. Plus my lil sis brings like 20 pairs of shoes when she goes anywhere. LOL I am in Merchandising. Woo-Hoo! Ya'll have to come visit me. :) (I'm sure you'll be there atleast once during the time I will FF)

PW: Yeah I was fine at work just a lil tired. I was going to go out last night too, but I stayed home and got some sleep.

Thanks FLMinnie and Leggs! Yes it will be nice and slow....although it may not seem like it, I am generally a very cautious person who doesn't make rash decisions, but this whirlwind has just sucked me into it. Everything about him is just so perfect. My friends remark on what a happier person I am, and those who have been able to meet him so far like him. In fact tonight one of my good friends (who is home in FL on spring break from grad school in Maryland) is meeting us for dinner. She said one of her definite "to-do" list items while in FL this week was to meet Workguy!!! I am sure he will pass the friend inspection :)

OOOOOHHHHH and another thing, hopefully within the next month or so I will be back up on a high speed internet connection (everyone say it with me...dial-up sucks!!!!!!!) so maybe I will be able to join you guys more...I know I know, I always say that.....but give a hard working girl a break...I need more hours in the day!!!!

OK I REALLY have to go, or I will be late for work. See you ladies soon!!

Have FUN, FUN, FUN Suzanne!! :D

Disney, I am so happy that things are going so well with workguy. I'll third what has been said above - enjoy every moment of falling in love. But do take things slowly....marriage in not about the falling its about the staying in love. I truly hope that your heart remains as happy as it is now. He sounds like a wonderful man.

OMG! Sorry your friend had a bad experience, but this may be the funniest things I have ever read on the net. I lived in Waco for 3 years while my ex went to law school. To this day, I still refer to it as Wacko!!

Welcome to our thread!! I'll encourage you to check out match.com too. I had success there and seemed to have felt more in control than some of the experiences of others who have posted here about E-harmony.

Did anyone catch the first episode of Adam Returns from Average Joe? Two of the woman were the result of e-harmony matching. The first one he let go the first night even though she was supposed to be a perfect match. There was definitely no chemistry there. I don't think any personality test can quantify physical chemistry....

Hey Doc? What is up with e-hamony and you?

Welcome, TZMom! :wave2: Sounds like a nightmare for your friend. Thank goodness he didn't go visit her!! I think they have to be in my general area to meet them. That's just me. But then again...I'm moving. Ha! :)

Oh! E-harmony...it's been so long since I heard from them, I forgot about them. Maybe I'll visit their site just for fun.

Have lots of fun, Suzanne! :teeth: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hi, all!

disney -- that is AWESOME!! WOO HOO! NOT that I am all for rushing to get married... but if you're still crazy about him after 3 months, well that's more than I can say for any of my relationships in the past EIGHT years (OMG time flies!)

PW -- WHEN are you leaving??? I thought you'd be gone by now!

Hi, TZMOM!! :wave2:

eharmony -- I have like 8 pages of matches and just can't keep up. I can't believe I wasted $50 on that. Someone was telling me today that they have speed dating here, but she has only met freaks there. Of course, SHE is a freak, so...

Hey -- where is SuprGro? She sent me a message weeks ago saying she wasn't able to sign on here, but I thought I had seen her on here since then.

Hi, Jenn! :wave2: I see you finally surfaced! :) Hopefully, I'm leaving on Tuesday. Closing is some time that morning. I still can't get an exact time down with them.

I had a nice weekend. Spent it with friends. Took the kids to the arcade, then we went to dinner, then to church. Oh...church made me cry. It sometimes does that which is why I don't always go. While there I ran into 3 single moms from my group there. I'll miss them soooooooooooooo much! But we have each other's addresses phone numbers, and e-mail addresses I believe. This is the sad part of moving. But once home I was back to being excited about moving. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Here it is almost 1 a.m. and I still have a ton of things to do. And the moving company comes in the morning...I hope in the morning...to load the truck. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!

How was everyone's weekend?

Hi, I had a nice weekend. Took dd to a waterpark Saturday. Only planned to spend a couple hours there but ran into sister-in-law and dd's cousins so we spent the whole day there. It was great to do nothing all day but have fun. Then dd and I got something to eat and rented a video (Freaky Friday) to watch together.
On Sunday, I bit the bullet and went............into
Wal-Mart :scared1: I had to get a car charger for my phone. It wasn't too bad in there because I went early. Then we got some doughnuts and the Sunday paper.
I was going to take today off for myself. DD's dad was going to take her today and Tues. but he has to work. So I'm taking her to camp because they're going to Butterfly World and I am going to work.

Oh Goodness! This could only happen to me. It's finals and I set my alarm wrong so I was late. The test was easy and I aced it but still. My final project wasn't as good as I wanted. :( Hopefully the days gets better as I go not worse, I have another final today. Because I was running so late, I didn't eat breakfast, I forgot my vitamins, good thing I carry extras of everything. I got on the train to go downtown, and it is running late too. Ugh! Could it possibly get any worse? Of course it could, I am sure something will come up. Oh by the way. Goodmorning

WOW all this going on. me just waiting for thursday to get here.:teeth: :hyper: another day at work.
MDP sounds like alot. still maybee your lil sis is moving more than you::yes::

well time to cook supper. have a great evening all.

Well, I'm back from Texas and I'm tired! I wish I didn't have to come home. I got a chance to meet TigerBear in Houston. Whoo-hoo! I think I will have to return to Texas in a season or two.

FF: It takes about 22 hours straight through to get to WDW. My dad lives by Kankakee. I live north of there. Closer to Chicago than that. A lot of my family and friends are FF's. Two of my friends who are volunteeer FF's just got promoted to Acting Engineers. They are soo excited.

:rotfl: LOL My lil sis is sooo high maitience! ( I know I didn't spell that right but oh well) She sure didn't get taht from me. I mean I have a lot of stuff, like clothes and that kind of stuff but she has literally like 35 pairs of jeans, not pants in general just JEANS! She is crazy. And a lot of them she buys her self. She's only 14!!

If you are out there SuprGrow, :wave2: .

Barry, I sent you a PM - I'm curious what your favorite coaster was.

FF, just how often do you get to go to The World?

MDP, glad your final went well even though your morning was so stressful!

Legs the water park sounds like fun. I haven't been to one in years.

PW, sending good thoughts your way. Check in when you can. :D
