Alright. I am so excited but sad at the same time. As I posted earlier, my wife surprised me and said let's go to Universal for our wedding anniversary. This is great because I thought we wouldn't go back till next summer. (Which we still will). Anyway, we are booked and I am also planning a birthday surprise for her because it will also be her birthday. However, we have decided to leave our 3 year old for this trip. It's only overnight, but I feel bad because he loves Universal and keeps saying he wants to go back, (which we definitely will), but I can't help but feel bad leaving him although he wont' know. Are we doing the right thing? We take him with us everywhere. I don't believe in leaving him behind, but because of the occasion my wife says we should.

So what do you think?

I know exactly how you feel! BUT he's 3 and he wont remember when he's 20:p All kidding aside, go have fun its just one evening! You are close by so dont worry. He will be having fun I'm sure and you can bring him back something he looked at during your last trip and didnt get. We all need some away time and the kids benefit too. I need to start practicing what I preach! LOL

go and don't feel guilty... I am assuming the 3 year old will be getting grandma time?

because she is going to have time with him alone and having quality grandma time!!!! LOL....

Oh Spidey, don't feel guilty! Go and have a wonderful time. Sounds like you have him well taken care of at Grandma's! I know how you feel though. We take our kids everywhere too, but last year we took a two day, one night trip to King's Island and I felt terribly guilty for going to an amusement park without the kids. We wanted to ride all the coasters the kids weren't big enough for. Anyway, they understood.

Go celebrate your anniversary and your wife's birthday and have a wonderful time!!!

You are all great!!!!! I know it's okay. We definitely want to ride the coasters that he could not ride on our last trip. I will definitely bring him back a souvenir. I know it's important for married couples to make time for themselves too, but it is hard.

Thanks again!!!
