I've been on and off WISH (and my weight management plan) for a year now, and I've made a decision that I am going to do it and go all the way this time.

I am just tired of being overweight and tired of letting myself down, so this time I'm not going to. Last year was my best try, I lost about 15 pounds, but have since gained back.

Anyway, I will elaborate later on my plan, but just wanted to make the statement since WISH is such a great support system, and I will make myself accountable not only to myself, but all of you!

Good for you, LuvTigger! I firmly believe that the biggest part of successful weight loss is simply commitment. Once you make that decision for yourself that 'This is it -- this is the time I do it all the way through and make the right changes for myself,' everything else follows.

You can do it! We'll be here to cheer you on every step of the way!

Congratulations on your decision to do it again! I think most of us have been there, I know I have. Two years ago I was working out everyday, eating well and at my goal weight. I vowed never to "slip" again...but I did. I stopped exercising because it was a hassle getting up early to go to the gym in the winter, once I stopped working out, my eating habits went to pot because I knew without exercise, I wouldn't be able to maintain my weight. So I ate junk and felt depressed, and my weight went up until finally I got sick and tired of feeling lousy and fat, and made the committment again. We all fall off the wagon from time to time; I know I will again...Hopefully only for a day or a week, though, not for months or years!

Good luck on your new journey! It's for good this time, right?
Keep posting, we're all in this together!:wave2:

WTG with coming back......I'm coming back too. I am rejoining WW tomorrow and have to get back to Curves too, so I am all geared up and ready to go.

Glad you are back! - I came back to WISH in March after I too had gained much of my wgt loss back:( - You are so right that WISH is so supportive! Honestly if I don't checkin every couple days(usually everday) I know I would not be OP for long!

So again WELCOME BACK! and GOOD LUCK on your journey to get healthier - we are all here for you!

Sue:D

Thanks to everyone for being supportive and sharing your stories! Sue, you are so right about checking in here. Even if I don't post, I try to make it here every day just to remind myself of my goals.

Today is day 3 for me. I won't go into detail explaining my weight management plan, but it's kind of a combination moderate carb, reduced calories, and low fat program. Probably most similar to South Beach, except less starches in my program, at least in the beginning.

For now my total weight loss goal is about 50 pounds. When I get there, I will reassess and determine if I need/want to lose more. I will also be starting a new journal with more details on what I am doing for anyone who's interested, and also for myself. I've found that writing things down really makes a huge difference in keeping me on track.

Thanks again to all of you!!!

LuvTigger - welcome back! I am a firm believer in the weight loss program that works for you is the one you believe in. If you can come up with your own plan instead of following someone else's good for you! As has already been mentioned, we are here to support you to your goal! :sunny:
