Ok Who is up for a 6 week challenge?

Hey guys. I've noticed that this thread is petering out. I hope that all you 6 week challenge vets are sticking with your program. I am and I feel great. If I am not mistaken today ends the 4th week of the 6 week challenge. I set a 10 lb goal and today I reached it!!! I would now like to set an additional 5 lbs for the last 2 weeks. I am now less than 20 lbs from my ultimate goal. The diet is going well and while I do not have an exercise plan I have been much more active. I think that I need to add some weights into my daily routine to begin toning. I would love to hear how all of you are doing. Keep up the good work.

Hi!:wave2:
Deb- I was wondering the same thing. It seems like I see my name on every other post or so and I'm just checking in daily or every other day. I hope all our buddies are doing well and just haven't had time to stop in and post.

This past week went well. I did well with my water and I got in three days of exercise and one day of some spring cleaning. I weigh in tomorrow so we will see how much I have lost. It is just about TOM so I am interested to see how this new diet I am trying will work with that. As I said DH & I went to his ten year high school reunion. It was nice. My DH and I have been together since we were teenagers, so it was a trip down memory lane for me too. Have a good day everyone! :sunny:

Hi, all! I'm only posting every day or two or three.....but, I am still working towards my goal. While I can definitely tell that I'm slimming down, I'm afraid I may not reach my *weight* goals. I'm doing a lot of walking, and I think the chub may be turning into muscle. A good thing, but I may have to adjust my goal from weight to overall size!

I hope everyone is keeping up well with the challenge. I know it's an encouragement to me to stop in and support/receive support from others!

HI there... well I just havent been as good as I thought as I would be on checking in. Im so sorry. :(

The good news is I had my weigh in at WW today and I lost 1 pound last week!! wohoooooooooo lol

hey Ill take it! ;)

Mentally Im doing much better as well. Thats the biggest hurdle for me but I'm doing so much better in that way.

I haven't posted in awhile, mainly because I have gotten off track... Now I am up and running again. I started marathon training today for the WDW Half, so I'm very excited! I have lost four pounds since starting, but have not lost in awhile. I think i'm out ofluck for the Mother's Day Challenge, but hopefully the six week challenge gives me another chance. I'm supposed to lose 12 pounds by May 16th, only eight to go...I don't know if I will reach that, either. But...today is Monday and hopes are high! Good luck everybody, and welcome to the boards, Fran! You will find support here! My boyfriend always brings home "treats" for me, but I ahve gotten good at saying no or eating treats only in moderation. He does it just because HE likes "treats," when he looks at pictures of my past he is more than open to the idea of me losing weight! (Is that a good or bad thing?) Anyway, keep it up everybody, and I'm sorry that I haven't been such a regular poster!

I'm glad to see more posts today. I was hoping that you were all hanging in there. Setbacks are normal for any weightloss/lifechange program so hang in there and it will come off, slowly in most cases but together we can do it. I have done well on water and diet today and have high hopes of some exercise once the kids go to bed. I haven't been feeling well the last couple of days and figured out today that the Russell Stovers low carb peppermint patties are causing me a lot of gas. My DH and DM have both noticed it too, so no more treats for me. Keep posting I love to here from all of you.

I have 6 weeks until my vacation, so I will take the challenge.
I would like to lose 20LBS in six weeks. I want to lose 60LBS total, but that impossimple for six weeks.

Hi!
Checking in for Sun & Mon. I got my water in both days. On Sun I took a 20 min walk. TOM is here and I am actually feeling ok so far. It has been a while since I haven't had a headache along with TOM. Maybe it is my new diet or maybe I'm just lucky this time or maybe I spoke too soon. Overall I am feeling great. I have low blood sugar and it has stayed in check for about two weeks and that makes me very happy. I weighed in today and I lost 1/2 pound this week. I think it might be more because with TOM I usually have water weight. So far I have lost 1 1/2 pounds out of the 5 pounds I want to lose for this challenge.
Well I hope everyone else is having a good week so far. Don't forget to keep us posted on how you're doing, even if you think it's not so well. We are here to support you whether you do well or not!::yes:: See ya later!:sunny:

Starting today!!! This is my beginning of a six week challenge. I won't weigh until the end of the challenge...I just want to focus on eating/exercising/and fitting nicely into smaller sizes. We're in the midst of selling our home and relocating...so I just don't want the added stress of weighing and feeling I've failed the scales. But if I've succeeded on eating and exercising right...I'm winning the battle.

Day one...breakfast cheerios with skim milk...now I'll be good knowing I have to write this stuff down! :)

Thanks guys!
Tara

I went to the Y and walked/ran 2 miles yesterday. I didn't exercise today because I flat ran out of time. But, I thought it might be a good 'rest' day anyway. I weighed yesterday at the Y and was a little disheartened when the scale showed a pound MORE than when I started all this exercise 4 1/2 weeks ago, but I reminded myself this morning when I got dressed that the capris I put on have NEVER fit before! Even though I'm not going to meet the goals I established in the beginning, I've started something that's doing me some good. I can't be disappointed about that. :D

It's really not about the scale as much as it is about how you feel about yourself. My DH and I started this weight loss journey together and we both feel so much better inside. He has not seen a significant change on the scale in the last month (just a couple of lbs) but you can certainly see how his body has changed. Between the two of us we have lost 75 lbs. Wow that's like 3 thanksgiving turkeys!!lol. We have been giving each other the support and assistance that we lacked in prior weight loss attempts. I know that I can do it and I also know that all of you out there can also attain your goals. Keep up the good work and allow yourself to feel good about what you are achieving.

Hey All!
First off, I'd like to share that I have been getting a lot of compliments on my appearance lately. AND I've learned to say THANK YOU instead of oh, it's no big deal. That's what I am feeling the best about. I also informed my DH that we'd have to go shopping soon for clothes for me because my clothes are actually starting to look sloppy on me. I'm still wearing a lot of my size 16 and I know I'm in a 14 if not a 12 in some things.
Today was my weigh-in day. I've lost another 3 pounds and I thought I'd actually had a bad week. I have made myself use my flex points and I used almost all 35 of them so I was actually expecting to have gained but no, that wasn't the case. I don't quite understand that at all. Soo, I have a new clippie to share with you all! ---Renee

Hello everyone!
Checking in for tues & weds. Got all my water in. Well I did speak too soon about the headache, but it was a little better than usual. On tues I did WATP and took a 25 min walk. I'm hoping to take a walk outside today because it is a beautiful day.:sunny:

Walked 1.5 miles on my lunch hour. Finished in about 25 minutes, which I felt pretty good about. Hopefully I'll get some sit-ups in tonight during the commercial breaks of Survivor!

I am so impressed!! You guys are doing great. I drank lots of water and ate well. We are trying to eat dinner earlier than 8pm which isn't always easy with our schedule. My scale isn't moving, but I feel much lighter. lol.

Walked/ran 2 miles in ~30 minutes today! Drinking lots of water and have probably walked another mile with my trips back and forth to the restroom! :p I'm hoping to do some sit ups tonight. I'm really trying to tone my tummy muscles now that this challenge has gotten me well on my way to making exercise a daily habit!

Is this our last week for the challenge? I'll have to sign up for another one if so. This has been a motivator for me!

wow! You guys are doing great!!

COngrats!

I weighed in todayn and was down 1.6 from last week! YAY just .4 off my goal per week. I will be happy if I can keep this up :)

got some exercising done today too.

Keep up the great work!

Hello 6 week friends,

It is so good to see that we are still working towards our goals. So many times in the past I have had such good intentions and a I get off to a good start only to quit at my first craving. I have had a very hard day today. The kids are off from school so with 5 active kids in the house the noise levels and stress levels are certainly high. I have had many chocolate cravings which I have ignored for the most part. I did have one of those wonderful russell stover low carb mint patties (2 actually). There are only .2 carbs per pack. I am so committed to sticking with the program. I have certainly noticed that I am not losing weight as easly as I had been. I know in my head that it is time to start a regular exercise program to lose those last 20 lbs, but I haven't been able to get the motivation to do so. I have very good intentions of working out tonight. I just got back 18 rolls of pictures, many from our last Disney Trip. These pictures were from last June through January of this year. I cannot believe how large I looked in many of those pictures. I hope that looking at myself in my size 18's will give me that motivation that I need to continue losing and exercising. I really want to be in a 10 before my next Disney Trip. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep with an exercise program? I would love to hear how you all do it. Thank you for the support. Does anyone want to continue with our challenge group after this week? Checking in everyday keep me accountable with you and with myself. Maybe we can modify our goals. Can't wait to hear from you all.

I'm all for checking in once a week. Couldn't we start a new challenge or just a thread for checking in? I know I've only been checking in once a week on my weigh -in day but I come in and read what everyone else is up to on the other days. Let me know what everyone here wants to do because I need a place to come and see what's up and a place to check in with my good (and bad?) news for the week. Soo what does everyone else think?

Since I'm here, I'll just admit that I ate a couple very good meals over the Mother's Day weekend. They were good tasting anyway. My DH took me to the Timberlodge Steakhouse and I HAD to share the Paul Bunyan Onion - MMM! Tasty! So, now I'm up a pound BUT my weigh in day is Thursday and I'll be doing some extra walking to make up for it. Hopefully by Thursday I'm back where I was last Thursday. It was completely worth it let me tell you. I watched my portions this weekend and it worked pretty good. I opted not to have a potato with my meal so that I could enjoy the onion and the wild rice soup. I guess I've learned to spend my WW points wisely. Well, I will check in Thursday and let you know how I'm doing. -- Good Luck All!

Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't been around for the last few days. We've had some family issues that kept me away from the internet. I did pretty poorly over the weekend. But I have been better this week. It has been very hot and humid here all of the sudden. I think the change in the weather was causing me to retain some water. I think it is finally starting to go away. I am hoping to be much better this weekend. My DH & I are celebrating 5 years of marriage and 12 years together this saturday. We aren't able to do anything big because my husband is on call for a big project at work, so we will probably just stay home and try to have a relaxing weekend. I hope everyone else is doing well!:D
