OK... which Olympic sport do you think shouldn't be there

Ok...years ago, I kind of said "What the ?" at synchronized swimming (but I've grown to respect it). Then, I repeated the ? with rhythmic gymnastics. Now, I'm looking at beach volleyball with the same skepticism. Anyone else think that there are sports in the Olympics that are a little "out there"?

Actually my stepdad said there is ping pong this year. That's the sport that shouldnt be there.

Okay, I woke up in the middle of the night and *thought* I saw synchornized diving, but I fell back asleep and thought it was a dream. Now that it's been confirmed, I can't believe it! That is just plain silly. No, should not be in the Olympics in my opinion!

Synchornized swimming ... nope, don't care for that either.

I just read in the paper that Bridge (yes, the card game) is an Olympic event now!!!

I had to go back and look again because I still can't believe it! It is in the USA Weekend (that comes with most Sunday papers). Also, Tug of War! I like the quote from the street about tug of war being included,"That's not really a sport. That's something you play at camp against the other cabin"

sheesh I don't know...there are several for me...here is my list in no particular order


trampoline
handball
modern equestrian (the horse does all the work???)
shooting (who needs to see that?)

and finally

BADMINTON????Is that a sport???

Get the impression as long as it's anything where you keep score, it is in the Olympics?

Better yet if sweat is involved, then it is certainly included.

It sounds like you've been reading the humour section of the newspaper -- as neither of these events are in the Olympics.

Table Tennis became an Olympic sport in 1988.

Oh ya

They got rid of that. Could never figure that out ballroom dancing a sport. Sock hopping was much more energic.

Also shooting maybe if they ran a lot between then it would count.

Oh ya sychronized diving. Next they will be adding YO-YO or better skate board. You wait Skate Boarding in the Olympics in 2012.
