ok, What don't you like to do at Disney?

Of course, I don't enjoy the usual things such as long lines, heat, obnoxious teenages without parental supervision and of course packing to leave...but the one thing that angers me the most is the Magic Kingdom parades...No other park has this effect on me but in the MK if you get caught in the parade then FORGET travelling anywhere because you are trapped and literally roped in and the cast members at the ropes are mildly rude about it...If you have a priority seating reservation, fastpass, need a bathroom break, a drink of water to cure your dehydration or God forbid a real medical emergency..just forget it because you are stuck there for the duration and nothing else takes priority...I consider my lack of freedom decidingly UNMAGICAL!!:)

In this order:

1. COMING HOME
2. Packing to leave
3. Doing the laundry when we get back :laundy:
4. Those darn smelly greasy nasty turkey legs. BLECH!!
5. Last, but not least, DINOLAND USA!! :rotfl2:

To all the Swiss Family Robinson haters...

I was with you on this one until I recently rented the movie for my DD to watch before our upcoming trip. Surprisingly, we both enjoyed this old classic and I have a new found respect for the "attraction" and look forward to seeing it at WDW now that I know the story. Who knows, maybe I'll still not like it?? Guess for me at least, what they say is true: knowledge is power! LOL :rotfl2:

I've been preaching this for years. Thanks for backing me up! :thumbsup2

Bathroom breaks. I always seem to end up in the loo when someone comes through, banging and jiggling the doors to every stall, screaming "Is someone in there???"

And the Mow-Em Down Mamas. Ahem...running over MY heels with your stroller isn't going to make the hundreds of people blissfully sauntering their way down Main Street in a Disney stupor move any faster :sad2:

ITA on the strollers. People need to tone it down a bit. They're STROLLers - not racecars. ;)

My least favorite thing to do at Disney is to wait in huge crowds for the busses after a night time show!

As far as attractions, the cheesy carnival games in Dinoland at Animal Kingdom are definately at the bottom of my to do list!

What is that Country Bear show called? Whatever it is, it is the WORST attraction at WDW! It is like a really really really really bad Hee Haw! :sad2:

I have to agree with this. The Country Bear Jamboree is AWFUL!!!!!!!!! Please do something else with this space!

I don't like the jungle cruise, but since ds watched the wdw vacation dvd, he now wants to ride the "floating bench", so we won't avoid it this year...

The Presidents thing...oh the horror I experienced as a child...my mom dragging me in there EVERY trip...I think I'm scarred for life. The Tiki Birds are a close second and then the Country Bears.

Unfortunately my DD (3.5) got her hands on a planning video and has started questioning me about the Tiki Birds...I've managed to hide it from her for all this time...now she knows it's in MK...sigh

I don't like doing repeat rides on the attractions that have CM's interacting - for example, jungle cruise, movie ride, etc. The scripts are sooooo scripted, lame the first time, just plain bad for repeats.

I'm not a big fan of Pleasure Island or DTD in general. I might go for a few hours but I don't want to spend my time at Disney shopping and going to clubs.

We don't like to do at MK or any other parks is to wait in line for more than 30 minutes in a hot blazzing heat and the sun beaming at ya.

What don't I like to do while at WDW?

Well, besides facing the fact that our vacation to our favorite place in the world is actually over, and we have to head for home (eek!), the one thing I don't like to do while at the World is to bite my tongue, in the name of tact, while parents let their darling little ones flagrantly violate nearly every park safety rule and guideline there is while hapless employees vainly attempt to get the little bundles of joy to cease and desist their infuriating/potentially unsafe/definitely against-the-rules behavior (all the while trying to maintain that attitude of Disney graciousness--these cast members do not make enough money), and said parents stand by and either watch placidly or, worse, develop a hostile attitude with the poor CM, when they should channel that ire at their own offspring. Examples of this on our trip last year were, sadly, much more prevalent throughout the resort than on our '02 trip. And I'd love to say something, but DW kind of gets into a brown study when I do, so... I don't. For the most part.

Anyway, I'm off my soapbox. :teeth:

You must be my long lost relative! I agree 100 %! When I am in the Happiest Place on Earth and I see someone completely misbehaving, it really upsets me. Whether it is an adult who is line cutting or being rude or a parent cursing at a child, or hitting them (rare occurances) or simply ignoring them as they stick their arms into the fountain, step on people's toes, throw merchandise to the ground, put their arms and hands and feet in places where they could get hurt, or swing from the stansions it drives me crazy. I don't understand it one bit.

As far as what else, I'm going to copy other posters here, too:

1. Paying the bills.
2. Waiting in line.
3. I'm not a huge fan of Mannequins or Motions at PI, either.

I love pretty much everything else- even swimming in the pools, riding the monorail, all attractions. I just don't do something w/o a FP unless it has under a 45 minute wait.

Country Bear Jamboree was good in it's day, but my goodness that day was 30 years ago!!! :sad2: It's just a good place for nap now...I can't imagine it is ever crowded.

My kids like the Swiss Family Treehouse and we all enjoy the movie, but I'm not usually wanting to climb all those stairs....so I usually sit it out.

The Tikki Birds is terrible but it holds such a soft spot in my heart. Our first trip when I was a kid my mother just thought it would be wonderful and we went in and my brothers and I spend the rest of the trip kidding her about it. :goodvibes We still do, years later!

I think the space for Innoventions could be used so much better! We NEVER go in there anymore.

Another yawner is the backstage tour. Last time we were there it was closed so I don't know if it is separate from Castastrophe Canyon. I like the Canyon but I really don't care to see "the Golden Girl house" again!!!! :happytv:

Especially Primeval Whirl (I get nausea & bruises just thinking about it! ) And those un-Disney-ish carnival games! Dinosaur is fun, but IMHO everything else just needs a good sprinkling of pixiedust: ;)

:tink:

Pleasure Island (anymore), Disney Quest, Swiss Family Treehouse, Hall of Presidents, MGM motor stunt show thingy (I almost died of boredom), Kali River Rapids (too wet without enough fun) hmmm, I think that might be it. :thumbsup2

The biggest thing I hate doing is waiting for the buses at the end of a long park day. And then after you wait and get on the buses, you have to make a million stops at other hotels first (that just always happen to be my luck). Also never do the water parks or PI. I dont really take any time for swimming at my resort either. Also refuse to do Stitch and Sounds Dangerous.
