ok, What don't you like to do at Disney?

There isn't much I don't like but what don't like I really DON'T like.

I don't like DTD/Pleasure Island/Disney Quest, Narcoosees, going in the summer, rude boorish people doing gross things - including not enough clothing, battering ram stroller people, line cutters, turkey legs, the Monorail smell, the loooooong walk back up to the monorail at Epcot..espically after walking all thru FW and WS...the ramp looks like Mt. Everest to us, Country Bear jamboree...

Yup, that about covers it.

Star Tours - it makes me want to barf (sorry, sharing too much!)

Astro Orbiter - I rode it once at night and swore to never ride it again. I could swear that I was going to fall out and screamed the whole time praying for it to end!

Stand and watch Cinderellabration in the blazing heat and humidity. There's really no where to go for shade and after a while standing still in one place, you really just start to sweat (lovely, I know). At least for a parade, you can sit somewhere, and can pick a spot in the shade...

Now no one shoot me....But I could do without Its a small world. For the first half of the ride is cute. But by the half way point, I have had enough & I am ready to get off.

Another vote for Tomorrow land Speedway TO Smelly, Noisy, and Long Lines doesnt load well

also add vote for Dino land Not the rides but the playland Darn kids just don't want to leave there and the dig area YUCk Just thinking of all those darlings in their diapers and what ever sitting in those rocks makes me want to..... well you get it I swear I make the kids squirt a bottle of that hand sanitizer after that one thats when they want me to get them something to eat

I've never understood why some people enjoy knawing meat off of a bone. I guess they're trying to appease their inner caveman. Meat Good Grrrrrr. (No offense to any cavemen out there) tee hee!

Really the only thing I really don't care for at WDW is World Showcase at Epcot. It's like a huge gift shop filled with "authentic" items made in Taiwan. The only upside is that great ride in Mexico, with that lovely, ear pleasing La La song. NOT!!!!!!!!!!! There is no upside. I don't go to a Disney vacation to be educated, that's why I went to college. If I want to see Italy, I'll go there. BTW my hubby and mom love WS, I'm not sure why though.

One positive thing about the Mexico pavillion, you can shop in the marketplace without getting manhandled, and without vendors yelling at you "Hey pretty lady, you like silver yes?".

I'm just the opposite... if I had to choose, I'd go there everyday! My favorite spot is the bench outside the Rose & Crown in the UK drinking a Strongbow Cider and people watching. Now that's some good fun :)

Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest -- all seem lame compared with the parks. Never again!

Must confess to a real caveman desire for turkey legs, but I kinda feel bad now knowing I'm grossing folks out. Makes it less appetizing! LOL

:furious: Dinosaur!!! I got the worst bruise Ive ever had in my life on that ride. :sad2: Also turkey leg~ my dd (4y then) begged and begged me for it. I reluctantly agreed. the thing was so tough we couldnt get a single scrap of meat off of it. If I wasnt out of my mind with aggrivation, Id have brought it right back to the stand and gotten a better one :guilty:
The turkey legs gross me out!!! I know many people enjoy them but I get disgusted seeing people knaw on a big leg bone like that. :teeth:
We were in line for Peter Pan in the heat of August and a woman in front of us was chowing down on a big old turkey leg. The pink meat was dripping all over the floor and she was licking her fingers. She was right in front of us and it was soooo hot in that line. My family just laughed at me because they know how grossed out I get. I usually just look away when someone around me is eating those things but this was right in my face, I could smell it too!!! :scared:
I was the big laugh of the family that day! :rotfl:

you have painted a very vivid picture

We don't do the water parks (we have summer passes to a local park, smaller but still fine) - although we may next trip because the kids will be older. We did last time (when girls were 3 and 6) and it was exhausting keeping up with where they are every minute (would have been easier now - three years later - since they can swim - will be even easier in a few years!).

We've never done Disney Quest - I have no clue what it is - although I picture a huge video arcade.

We don't do autographs - my girls did this last trip and on two Disney Cruises - they had absolutely no interest in this THANKFULLY this time around. They also didn't insist on meeting every single character - which was great since 99% of the lines were really long. WE met our share certainly, but we didn't wait really long for them.

We also don't get into the whole pintrading thing. That is an expensive hobby to start your kids on for a trip that is costing an arm and a leg anyway. "Mom - we need to buy us a bunch of expensive pins so I can accost the workers and trade with them." Again - they had no interest whatsoever and I was probably prepared to do this if they really wanted to do it.

We don't buy hats - LOL - although we do take pictures of them wearing them in the stores (yes - goes against all santitation rules - i know i know) - they just aren't going to wear those gold Mickey ears or Goofy hat elsewhere - they are fashionable at Disney (as are fanny packs LOL) but they aren't really practical in the "real world" LOL! Yes - I am cheap!

We don't do Pleasure Island - went there on our honeymoon - not too terribly impressed (although it was fun for the night) - hard to go with kids - we aren't bar hoppers anyway.

I think that's it. LOL!

We dont do water parks, Pleasure Island, Indiana Jones, Dumbo and Alladin rides (I get too dizzy), Star Wars (again too dizzy), the carousel (see a pattern here?), and I got so sick on Mission to Space that DH has to go on it alone....

I love Disney, and there is no other place I'd rather be, but here it goes:

Astro Orbitor
Space Mountain
Indy Cars
Primevil Whirl
Pleasure Island
Boardwalk

I guess that's really not too bad. :bitelip:

This is such a depressing thread!! So far, I am seeing that people hate the Country Bears, the Hall of Presidents, the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Jungle Cruise... basically, anything that isn't new, improved, updated, cutting edge. That's so SAD. I mean, isn't Magic Kingdom for the littlest ones anyway? Country Bears is so cute and funny and corny; it isn't supposed to be brilliant, it's supposed to make you laugh and roll your eyes and sing along. Kids adore it. We took our bear with us last time, just to get a photo of him with Country Bears in the background, and the kids were swarming our bear, too. They thought he was part of the show. The Hall of Presidents is a Walt original, and a darned good piece of history. The animatronics are still good, and the detail of each and every piece is stunning. The movie is probably more history than our children get taught in school. I know that everyone has their own taste, but this thread scares me. We know lots of CM's frequent these boards... I'd sure hate to see these attractions get ripped up because people forgot how magical and delightful they were when you still saw magic in an obese bear in a tutu.

First off it is not for little ones, and you're entitled to think this thread is sad, i'll just leave it at that, cuz those of you who know me, know what would normally be next but i am trying to be a better person now. :yay:

i am with you guys on the water parks, we have one at home, not to mention OLCC has built their own so we can spend time doing other stuff then visiting a water park, my friend she loves the water parks and takes her kids so we meet up after.

Being there while any type of junior-high girls cheerleading/dancing competition is going on... ooooh the SCREAMING those girls can make! :scared:

Other than that...

1) Trying to find our group on Tom Saywer island so we can move on to something better

2) Cell phones, walkie-talkies, etc on speaker mode

I am a Disney Zealot, but even I have to admit to a few things I don't like:

- people who line jump by saying they are just catching up with their family. Why doesn't the family stay back and wait for the person at the beginning of the line??

- horrible carnival games at Dinoland. So un-Disney, and that blacktop gets hot, hot, hot, hot!

- (putting on my flame-proof suit now...) leashes. On our trip this week I saw a woman with a toddler in full-scale tantrum, dragging the child about 15 feet across the floor of the Living Seas. The child was on the floor, kicking, screaming, and crying, and the woman just kept pulling and dragging, finally picking the child up by the arm, like you wouldn't even do to a puppy.
