here is a tip. when ordering your 12" globe. be sure to look for the neck-less globe and not the one with the neck like the 6" globes have.

While I am sure most people are able to read better than I can. That caused me a bit of a frustration when I constructed mine.

Not sure what everyone is paying but the 12 inch neckless white globes with a 5-1/4 inch opening can be bought online from the site by the Bay for $19.50 with free shipping.

WOW! What a great set of directions for the MIckey Lamp! How does everyone transport the Lamp? Plan on making mine easy to dismantle. The head looks to be the most challenging!

We put the head in a box and find a safe place for it to ride. Before we had the box Mickey lost an ear.

We wrap ours in bubble wrap and stow it in a plastic tote bin which fits in a compartment under the motor home. I usually carry two lamps with us . . . and three or more Mickey Rope Lights.

Another project! build a Mickey lamp, prepare the camper, assure 1990 Ford f150 will make it 950 miles to the Fort. (I am a Ford Technician pressure's on)! Just so we get there who cares about the return trip! 35 whole days to do it! Now rope lights!
