OK..We're Finally REALLY going to do it!

After countless wonderful, amazing trips to WDW (about 18 trips over last 15 years)....we've vowed that we are finally going to do it!....We are going to spend 6 days in Orlando/Lake Buena Vista and do all the things that Orlando has always seemed to offer, but we've never done....never had the "will power" to pull ourselves away from WDW and do oither stuf.

Problem is, we can't remember or think of what all that other stuff to do is. Outside of Sea Worlfd, Universal, Discovery Cove...what should we consider?

So.......and ideas you'd like to pass along would be greatly appreciated.

We'll be in a Residence in near Sea World, not the one on I-Drive. We're a party of three...Mom, Dad and LARGE teenage son.

Thanks!

I wonder if it would get more info on the other board........lets try....and then do not forget to come back and tell us about this strange experience that I have not had the chance to do in the 20 odd trips to Disney......thanks

There are many great dinner shows like Dixie Stampede, Mediveal Times, Pirate Dinner Adventure, and the Outta Control Magic Show.

There is also both coastal beaches within an hrs drive. Even if you don't want to go to the beach there are a lot of great shops in the areas. Along w/ things like boat tours and parasailing.

There are some incredible outlet malls in the Orlando area.

There is Cypress Gardens, airboat tours, gatorland, water skiing and jet skiing at LBV watersports, there is also many state parks within a comfortable drive as well as Kennedy Space Center.

Thanks everyone. :) This is all great stuff. Keep it comin' !

We enjoyed Fantasy of Flight I think Dad and son will especially enjoy it. Check out their website. I enjoyed Florida Audubon in Maitland seeing rescued birds of prey up close. There's also the Bok Tok Tower, beautiful grounds with musical tower that chimes at different times and Cypress Gardens within driving distance. I loved the gigantic banyan tree and gardens, shows and amusement park. I recommend getting the AAA tour book for Florida. Free to members and can be ordered online. You'll find plenty of ideas suited to your interests. Have a great trip. :)
