OK to go at Easter?

We're thinking of going to WDW next Easter (some time in the Easter holidays -- 25th March to 9th April).

In SimonV's Brit's Guide it says which times of year are busy and which aren't. The trouble is I can't find my copy at the moment. Does anyone have one to hand?

I recall Easter being mentioned, but I can't remember if it was one of the best or worst times to go. We went around 31 May this year (I think it's Presidents Day or something) and would prefer it to be less busy and a few degrees cooler.

Easter is EXTREMELY busy so I'd avoid it if you possibly can. The weather is quite good at this time though.

Hmm. Maybe the half-term week in February then? Why is Easter so busy? Is it busier than the summer?

Easter is busy because of the combination of the Easter break itself and the US college 'Spring Break' vacations. I think it is second busiest only to the Christmas / New Year week.

The Easter weekend can see the parks (mainly MK) full to capacity, but if you're in Orlando for two weeks you should be able to plan around those days. On the plus side the parks will be open for longer hours and there will be more parades and fireworks scheduled than at quieter times.

We were in WDW for two weeks at easter last year, The week and after easter was busy but we planned, and worked our around the fastpass which worked really well and we liked the longer opening hours so you can be more flexible. The first time we went was in february 2000, l prefer Easter because of the weather and a good plan of what you want to do.

Easter weekend we avoided the Main Parks and visited Gatorland,Boggy creek airboats which were not busy, also the usual shopping trips.

The weather was great in the late 70's and no rain...we are going again next year 27 March- 10 April
