Could be, or she knows something we don't know. It's an original..maybe she deals with someone who collects it..or maybe Disney wants it for a display.

As far as selling the list to outlets..it's a buyer beware selling venue. If someone doesn't know where the outlets are and wants to buy that list, who am I to deny them.

On another thread on the Disboards, when people didn't agree with what was being sold on eBay..many sent letters (some nasty) harrassing the seller. IMO, if you find an auction you think "isn't just right", just report it to eBay and if they agree, they'll remove it. Otherwise, we'll have to assume someone out there may want that information. If she makes a ton of money selling that list..I'll be kicking myself for not putting it up (darn CAnn..why didn't you think of that )<G>. People sell recipes available in any cookbook in the library, and they sell "How to Sell on eBay" books all the time..the same info you can get for free in the sell tutorial. You may think it's not ethical (after all we know where to find that info...right on these boards! or immoral or whatever, but for someone who never heard of the different Disney Boards to get the info from this is good info for them.

Of course when we make 4 trips a year from NY to Disney, my family thinks the same about me LOL.

Geesh, they say, don't you have better ways to spend (I think they might say waste) your money? It's all about how we want to spend our money, eh? Do you know, that for my next trip, we offered to bring my daughter and her son for free, and they turned me down (they would rather go somewhere else)...I think they are sick of Disney. How could it be???

You can't sell "links" on eBay. We'd end up suspended. Remember, if the "buyers" didn't want the list, they wouldn't bid. It may end up being a big money saver for the person who does buy it. I used to not know about the outlets (although more than the two she talked about).

That's confusing. It actually takes 2 people to run a bid up that high. On guy might be willing to(proxy) bid $10,000 dollars on something, but he only has to bid/pay 1 bid incriment over next highest bidder(which might only be $100 so he would pay 101). Something just doesn't look right about that auction. One guy bid 20 times and then there's a bid retraction? It just looks wierd.

Looks like Mic's first bid was the only retraction. The bid retraction might have been as simple as he put too many zero's in. It appears to me that he is getting caught up in the frenzy, and has changed his proxy several times. Prob will be some buyers remorse on this.
Dang I wish I owned that garbage pail too!

That's what I was about to post! It looks very fishy to me. I think the seller has some friends to jack up the price...

Are you accusing these people of shilling? Believe me..that is something eBay takes very seriously. That's a pretty big accusation to make with no proof other than an item on eBay going for more money than WE think it's worth.

Looks to me like two new to eBay (or at least their buyers ID's are new) collectors just happen to like the item. I just had two bidders bid something of mine up higher than the the original Buy it now price I had on the item just yesterday. Gee, I hope I don't end up on these boards being accused of shilling. I just thought it was because one person liked it, and it made the other person want it..sort of like when one of you announces another trip to Disney..and I want to go too LOL..(oh, wait..that did just happen yesterday too, didn't it).

Yup! I did the "deed" today.. The VP got in my face one too many times and I threw in the towel.. By the time all was said and done, my supervisor was hugging me and crying..

Of course now I'm sitting here thinking, "What have I done??" - but I CAN go back if I want to.. (Oddly enough, even the VP said it would be okay..) I think I'm just going to chill for a bit though and see if maybe a better job is out there calling to me..

For now I better eBay like MAD !!! LOL

How about working at the tax place in Menands..you'll have the fall and first part of winter off to eBay!! They are hiring.

Definately go with the muffins..and make it in Word as a d/l file..no dealing with shipping!! I have thought about certain e-books to sell on eBay. I'm sure some would say..hey I can get that info anywhere, but obviously not everyone can..how-to books sell good!
