OK that's it we are moving to Florida ~ Our first trip to the World; UPDT 7/12

Ahhhh just read through everything so far and got a little weepy. I can't wait to get back to Pop Century!!! Great TR so far, your Lexi is gorgeous!

I have a while until I am back at POP but I look forward to being there again.

A wonderful morning in EPCOT. A yummy lunch too.

No pics from work. I really needed some food porn too.

Are you having a good time at Bear Lake? I saw your food porn (the shakes) they looked yummy.

I loved Pop. I can't wait to go back. Thank you, I think Lexi is pretty special myself. :cutie:

It was a wonderful morning and a very yummy lunch.

EPCOT ~ Part 3

We kept wondering toward the front of the park and we paid a visit to Figment.

Lexi really liked running around here.

We went here next
Disney%252520613.JPG

Jon really didn't mind Beverly! :upsidedow Lexi wouldn't try it but she doesn't like soda at all so I wasn't surprised. My favorite was the watermelon one.

Next we headed here

Jon was looking down helping Lexi with something.
Jon only took their picture and not mine :confused3

By this point we were getting tired because this was our third day in the parks going pretty much from opening to closing. Since Lexi had been asking to ride the monorail we decided to head here next.
Disney%252520620.JPG

We rode the monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center then we got off and Lexi wanted to ride the boat.

We hopped on the first boat we saw.

Disney%252520631.JPG

The boat took us to the Magic Kingdom so once we got there we hopped back on a monorail to go back to T&TC.
Lexi really enjoyed the fact that she could stand up and hold on in the monorail.
Disney%252520649.JPG

Alexia really had fun riding on the "modern rail" as she calls it. This is her favorite mode of Disney Transportation.

We finally arrived back here.
Disney%252520653.JPG

Now I know that some people might have thought we wasted time or whatever riding all over the place but we had a a lot of fun and it was a really nice break from walking. Really isn't that what Disney is all about spending time together having fun.

Once we got back to EPCOT we were getting hungry so we headed to World Showcase to get something for supper. I wanted the Fish and Chips from England but Jon said he didn't feel like that so we walked around the entire WS and he didn't find anything he wanted. Then he decided he would eat some Fish and Chips
Don't they look good?
Disney%252520655.JPG

It was dark by this time and we had about an hour to go before Illuminations started. So we took our food and sat on a bench between Canada and the United Kingdom. It felt so good to sit down we decided to wait for Illuminations.

I had bought some glow sticks and glow wands from the dollar bins at Target and brought them with us. They were very handy in keeping Lexi occupied while we were waiting for the fireworks.
Disney%252520657.JPG

Disney%252520658.JPG

About 20 minutes before Illuminations started it started to drizzle. I suggested to Jon that we should buy ponchos. He said he didn't want to spend the money. :headache: I said ok. About 5 minutes before Illuminations started it started to pour. :sad2: We were already wet from the drizzle so we just stuck it out. Jon was not happy. I told him the next time the forecast called for a chance of rain we were going to buy the ponchos. He said he should have listened to me after all. I really wanted to say I told you so but I kept my mouth shut. :upsidedow

Once Illuminations started Jon forgot about the rain. We didn't take pictures because of the rain. About 5 minutes before the end Lexi said she had to go potty and she couldn't wait. Thankfully we were close to some restrooms so she made it but I missed the end of the show. We headed out of the park with the herd to head back to Pop.

Alexia was tired.
Disney%252520668.JPG

We had a great day in spite of the rain. We were however ready for our first non park day which is coming up next.

I love that you took time to ride the monorail and boat. I think that is what Disney is all about. I think sometimes people forget that when they are rushing from thing to thing. :thumbsup2

Men. When will they learn to listen to us women? We are wise. ;)

It was really nice we were basically alone on the boat and once we were all alone on monorail. It was getting cool out too and it was nice to have time to get out of the damp windy weather.

I know. I had even suggested it when it rained while we were Club Cool but he just wanted to wait it out.

:thumbsup2 Couldn't agree more! Sounds like a great day.

One of the joys of Disney transportation, for kids, that is - standing up and holding on to the handrails.

Watermelon is the only one of those drink choices I can really take. It is very sweet, though!

I'm interested in seeing what all you did on your non-park day. :)

I love the monorail and boat and have done them in combination more than once just for the ride, I think it's wonderful. Not a waste of time at all.

Somehow in my effort to get cheap glowsticks and rings, they never glow very well, it's always a disappointment. Glad Lexi's worked!

The joys of the potty in the middle of a show...I confess that I don't miss those days. those fish and chips look great right now, I seem to catch your updates right when I'm starving! :rotfl:

A good tip for any one reading. Walmart sells .99 pocket sized ponchos!! They are so small that they fit in your pocket.

It's great because you can take it with you and when it rains you just pop it out. When the rain is over you can just throw them away. It's fun watching everyone trying to dry their poncho's and trying to fold them neatly while you walk past them to the next attraction knowing you have another dry poncho in the bag :cool1:

The monorail is an attraction in and of itself. Last year, when we brought DNiece, it was one of her must-do's! Just the two of us went, a nice bonding time. Also let us pop in at Poly for a quick look-see and a Dole Whip. No point starving in the name of family time. :rotfl:

Oh, the endless poncho issues! I always have them in the park bag, 2 each, just in case. DH rarely wants to wear his, but I plasticize at the first droplet. So our eye-rolling comes when he gets impatient waiting for me to fish one out & wrestle into it. We still use our Disney ponchos from a 2005 trip. $5, 6 years = Good value! I'm always happier reusing when possible. It's cheaper, greener & reminds us of previous adventures. One year, we brought ponchos from the Maid of the Mist boat ride at Niagara Falls. Yup, we got some looks.

How wise of you to plan a no-parks day. We did that when DD was little, too. So what did you do?

Is that the actual size of the fish n chips that Rose n Crown serves? It seems kind of little. Is it because you took it to go to see illuminations or will that be the same size if you sit down and eat?

Little nervous about my upcoming ADR @ Rose n Crown now after seeing that picture :confused3

Joining in a little late but still! You're DD is to cute!

She loved it. It made her feel so big and grown up.

I don't really remember what it tasted like but I wrote it down in my notes. I love watermelon so I am not surprised.

I think you may think our non-park day was boring.

It was really relaxing.

I am actually really surprised they worked because some of them I have had for 3 years. I did get them from the Target Dollar Bins and not the dollar store if that makes any difference.

I had even taken her right before it started so this wouldn't happen, but at least she really had to go and she didn't think she just had to but didn't.

The fish and chips were so yummy.

I know and I had meant to get some of those before we left but I just ran out of time. We have a mesh pocket on our stroller that we kept them in and just rolled them up and threw them in there. We hung to dry when we got back to our room with the clothes pins I brought with us.

I could have brought our Maid of the Mist ones. I didn't even think about it. I actually love our Disney ones. I thought they were a good deal at $7 and we have used them here at home too.

Sorry I wasn't clearer about that. Our fish and chips were from the little walk up window where you can get them to go. They are the same as the ones served at Rose and Crown but I am not sure if the size is the same.

:welcome: Better late than never. :goodvibes

Day 5 ~ Rest Day ~ February 6

Today was a rest day so we had planned to sleep in. I think we were still up and ready to eat by 8:30. Since we weren’t rushing to get to the bus stop Jon took these on our way to get breakfast.

Our view looking to the right. If you looked straight ahead you only saw trees.

After we ate we wondered around Everything POP and of course Lexi found something she wanted. Her very own Dumbo!

We had planned to hang out at the pool but it was cold and rainy. I wasn’t feeling good so we went back to the room. I went to sleep and Jon and Lexi just hung out and relaxed. Lexi colored, watched TV, and played her Leapster. Jon said he dozed on and off. Soon we got ready for supper at Cape May Café.

We only had to wait about 5 minutes for our bus.
Disney%252520713.JPG

We headed to DHS so we could take the boat to Beach Club.

We loved Cape May. It is tied with O’hana as our second most favorite meal of our trip. We loved it so much that neither one of us thought to take pictures. :rotfl:

We headed back to Pop and went to bed. It was a pretty slow day but it was a great day to recharge and rest.

What a lovely relaxing day! You need those at Disney, especially when you have a super long trip like you all did. :thumbsup2

Boring? No way!
I love all of these pictures.
Lexi picking out a new friend - that's very familiar to me, of course. Brooklynn brings home a new friend or two or five every trip.

We were walking by that pool every day just a few days ago. I just left, and I am ready to be back now! Let's go back and pull up a couple of lounge chairs and just hang out listening to the squeals of happy children splashing around. Want to? :goodvibes

Of course, I love the boat ride with Beach Club and Boardwalk as your view. We did that last Thursday before we left. Those little ice cream cone tables at Beaches and Cream are so cute.

A lovely day indeed, I also love the pictures. Especially POP! I'm pretty sure our room last year was almost exactly where yours was. Maybe we were 2328? Something like that anyway.

sorry it was cold and rainy. but it was nice to recharge i bet. I'm so excited to try cape may next time. i hear nothing but good things about it.
