OK that's it we are moving to Florida ~ Our first trip to the World; UPDT 7/12

saw a lnk and followed. great start. The airplane dropping would have scared me. :scared1:

Bummer about the delay you had getting out.

Can't wait to read more.

:faint: Losing altitude? No thanks. I hate to fly. Hate it I say.

Lexi looks adorable sitting on her suitcase. :cutie:

Walk between Lady and the Tramp daily? :cloud9: If I ever stay at the Pop, it would have to be in the 50's section.

Your title caught my eye. I'm going to move to Florida too.... Someday.
My dd is the same age as yours. I'm anxious to see what her favorites things were. I'm glad you mentioned her response. I've been teetering back and forth between telling and not telling for our next trip and would never have thought about someone telling the kids at the airport.

I love the title! Your daughter is so adorable, and right there with her with Lady and the Tramp.

She loves Lady. She has a Lady that she sleeps with. :cutie:

I love the big Juke Box. How adorable that is.

It was a great location. Really close to the bowling pin pool and the laundry room.

Welcome :goodvibes I was just glad we got out. We were the only SW that was heading to Orlando that made it out. The first 4 were cancelled. For once I was glad we were on the last flight and not the first.

Keep it coming...I'm right there with you!

Thanks for sticking around.

I love to fly and have flown literally around the world (Indonesia) and had never had that happen before. They didn't say anything about it but they put the seatbelt sign on for the rest of the flight. It was really out of no where because there was no turbulance at all for the whole flight.

She was so excited. She keeps telling Jon that if moved to Disney World we wouldn't be cold any more. :rotfl2:

We really liked the location. It was close to the pool and the laundry room. We didn't have much of a view but we weren't in our room enough to enjoy it either.

I was there some of the days you were. Feb 6 & 7 , and 9 & 10.

Welcome :goodvibes Where did you stay?

Jumpin on board.

Thanks for following along.:goodvibes

Welcome and thanks for joining in. We really will most likely end up in GA since there are more offices there then in Orlando. But it will still be closer to our families (neither one of us are from where we live so we have NOBODY here) and close enough to drive. In my eyes that is a win-win situation. I was glad we told her because 3 or 4 people asked where we were going and when they found out it was Florida then they would ask her directly if we were going to Disney World.

Bummer about the storm and date late. And an hour delay on your flight in. But seems as tho the flights went fairly smooth. an hour really isn't that bad. You had to schlep your luggage that time of night too, right? We had to do that at 1 a.m.! I'm sure our neighbors at POR weren't too happy to hear 5 rolling suitcases going by at that time!

Somehow my reply to you went missing. :confused3

No it wasn't bad and it could have been much much worse. I was just glad we made it out tons of flights were still being cancelled and ours was the only SW flight that was going to Orlando that day. I think there had been 3 or 4 earlier flights scheduled but they were all cancelled due to the planes being stuck where they were. Our flight was then packed but I didn't care I was going to Disney World. Yes we had to schlep our luggage. I am sure the neighbors didn't enjoy it but we couldn't help it.

I just found your report and I am joining in. Lexi is so adorable!

Pop always looks like so much fun when I see pictures. I had it booked for our upcoming trip, but ended up changing for some reason. :confused3

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip.

Thanks for giving me the heads up on this. I am still trying to catch up with everything and everybody after getting back.

That sure looks like a happy little girl on her way to Disney World. :cutie: I am looking forward to hearing all about it.

With the kiddie pool down, we spent our one swimming time at the Bowling Pin Pool. I love seeing your pictures and thinking back just a few days to when we were right there. :)

Pop is a lot fun and it has a great food court.

Oh my goodness but your Lexi is a pretty little girl!
I think you are off to a great start with your trip report, keep it coming!

Thanks for coming over MeMom. I thought of you a lot on our trip.

Lexi was sooo happy. I loved your pictures of the pool because it brought back so many memories for me.

Joining in and going back to read!

Thank you for coming over and joining in Anita. I do agree with you that Lexi is pretty. ;) She asked me today why we don't call her princess like the people at Disney World did.:rotfl: I will get another update done sometime this week. It won't be to long and you will be headed back to Disney your self.

I am totally here for your adventure!!! So glad you are doing a TR, and can't wait to read about it all!!

Hi, :wave2:

I had to come over cause we both have Lexi's....;)

She is so adorable! Her smile is beautiful!

I would love to live in Florida! Possibly one day I will retire there!

Glad your flight wasn't cancelled due to the weather.
(I hope we don't have any issues when we fly for the NYE trip, we never travel in winter for that reason)

We loved POP and Lexi really wanted to stay in 50's but sadly it didn't happen.
I need some "pixie dust" so we get it this time!

Can't wait to see more!

Hope you find the little garden kit...she would love it! :flower3:

I can't wait to read along. Moving to Georgia would be a great idea. You would be closer to our Happy Place and you could join us for fun DISmeets.

we went to WDW last year Feb 6-13th and our flights with southwest were cancelled the day before we were supposed to leave due to a huge snowstorm. We ended up finding last mintue flights out of Detriot and flew late on the 5th into Tampa and rented a car and drove to Orlando on the 6th! It was a mess but we made it!

Since we ended up not flying Southwest and because it was because of the storm, they did do a total refund! So that was nice. No hassle!
