Ok, so who's ready to decorate for Christmas???

Okay, I am officially :cloud9: ... The Music Choice "Sounds of the Season" channel on digital cable has officially switched over to Christmas music!! :yay:
Now I am working on my homework with a big smile on my face. :goodvibes

DH put the outside lights up today. Around here we never know if we will have another nice weekend to get them up. Inside decorations will go up sometime during Thanksgiving weekend.

After we have bonfire night in the UK (next Wednesday) I am then always itching to get the Christmas decorations out, but I will wait until December 1st! We have 4 trees, a big tree with only Disney decorations on, 2 smaller indoor trees and one outdoor tree. Now that we have built a deck out in the back garden I am trying to figure out how to convince DH we should also put a tree on there too!! I think between bonfire night and December 1st I think I will just burn Christmas smelling yankee candles!!

Raises and waves hand wildily. :teeth: But DH says I have to wait for Thanksgiving day. :(

Now that silly Halloween is out of the way, us Christmas-aholics are itchin' to drag all the Christmas decorations out!! C'mon, who's with me?? :santa:

So 'fess up -- who else is jonesing for Christmas tunes, and seriously wanting to pull all the Christmas stuff out?

Gotta enjoy Thanksgiving first! I refuse to break out the Christmas stuff until Black Friday at least, but I have fall/harvest decorations that will be out for T-giving first.

Me, I'm ready!! :yay:

DH2B said he'd let me start decorating BEFORE Thanksgiving this year! I respect that a lot of people like to wait, but I like to celebrate it for as long as I can!

Me!

Last year we moved Thanksgiving week, and then we were away on vacation for both Christmas and New Years, so I did very little decorating.

This year we'll be out of town for Thanksgiving.

So I think I'll have DH haul out my Christmas Village boxes while he's putting away the costume crate today. The rest of the Christmas stuff can wait until after Thanksgiving, but I never feel like I get to enjoy my village long enough anyway, and especially after not putting it out at all last year, I might just go ahead and set it up this week.

Thanks for the validation you early Christmas decorators.
Ho! Ho! Ho! :santa:

The towns around us put their christmas decorations up about a week ago - BEFORE Halloween. Just wrong. Wait till just before Thanksgiving, but thats it.

:yay::yay::yay: Me, Me, Me!! THe first tree will be put together this evening. The first of 16. :rotfl2:

Hi Smiley!! I would LOVE to have 16 trees -- that is awesome!! Hope you post pics!

Miss talkin' to ya!

I let Thanksgiving come before I get excited about decorating for Christmas. Before that is just too soon. I don't like rushing the holiday and skipping over Thanksgiving to get to Christmas. I wish the stores wouldn't start promoting Christmas so soon either. And no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving either.

When we were first married DH was the one always wanting to put up the Christmas decorations earlier and earlier each year, and I had to put my foot down and say not until Thanksgiving is over. The last few years we have switched those roles and I am so looking forward to getting the Christmas stuff up!

We took down all the outside Halloween stuff this morning after church and I was egging DH on to put up the Christmas lights since it is so nice today, I forgot all about the football game :headache:

He said the weather is supposed to be really nice again next weekend, so the plan is to get them up then. We don't turn them on until Thanksgiving weekend though, it's just nice to get them up when the weather is a tidge warmer than 40 below :rotfl:

DD and I will probably start on some small stuff in 2 weeks or so, the Disney villages and small trees in the bedrooms. The 2 big trees will wait until Thanksgiving weekend. I really want to add a 3rd big tree, but DH says we have enough now. We went to the Halloween store today on the way home and loaded up for next year at half-price, so I'll have to try and use that same logic to add another tree for next year ;)

Me! I love Xmas! I will do outside decor in two weeks and inside stuff a few days before TGiving. I can't wait for Xmas music, 24/7, on the local lite station!

I'm ready! But not DH ;) We will put up our stuff before we go to WDW on 11-19, I promise :santa:

I'm ready I'm ready! I LOOOVE Christmas. I love the Christmas music, and the happiness, and giving gifts to my family, and, okay, honestly, I like presents myself. But in my family we do lots of stocking stuffers and that's actually my favorite part.

And I definitely love all the Disney Christmas merchandise. My two favorite things in the world put together! Disney and Christmas! Last year I got a light-up cut-out of the fab five with presents infront of them. I love it. :santa:

Since I don't celebrate Christmas, I won't be decorating. My partner can get a tree if he wants but I doubt he'll bother. The shops are FULL of Christmas stuff already - I may have to relent and take part in my favourite aspect though - Christmas cake :rotfl:

What is Christmas Cake?

:yay:

Do they still decorate by neighborhood theme in your town??? I miss driving around town and looking at all the different neighborhoods. Does that neighborhood on South Cliff still do all the white lights???

We will be decorating the inside of our house in the next couple of weeks. I want to get it done inside before my husband leaves and then he can do the outside of the house when he comes home on Christmas break.

Im itching to do it... I think im going to take down the summer lantern lights this week and put up the Christmas lights (and outdoor decorations) up. As far as the tree, I have to wait till I can get hardware to mount it to the wall (I have cats so I tie it in) so probally day after thanksgiving.

Me!!! I was so disappointed this morning when there wasn't Christmas music on the radio when I went shopping. Last year we were coming home from trick or treating and they had Christmas music on the radio.
