OK, RAE, where's that post!

I want to go on the Verandahman/Rae April 2005 cruise! My husband and I went on our first cruise ever in March on the Magic. It was wonderful and we were in paradise. Is this cruise going East or West? I think I can convince my husband to go ahead and book now for this cruise even though he said that he wanted to wait 3 years! You all sound like so much fun, and it would be alot of fun to go with people who like to have fun and I feel like I already know you all from all the postings I have read from you two. I am glad Rae had a wonderful trip, you sound like someone who should have alot of blessings come her way.
Wish me luck in convincing hubby to go in 2005!!

I'm sure Rae would agree with me, we would love to have you join our 50th Birthday Celebration Cruise. According to the way I figured it out, going week by week, it should be an Eastern Caribbean cruise the week of April 16-23, 2005. Why not plan ahead and arrive Friday night April 15th and join us at the Radisson, to kick the cruise off, with a DISmeet around the Radisson pool.

Rae:

Oh yes! The weather here has been getting warmer and warmer, day and night, as summer approaches. But, it pretty much stays the same all year with a little more sun during th summer.

Well, we are after doing another cruise. Kaye would like to bring her mother along for one. Trying to figure on good dates. And, since they just annonced active duty military rates through 12/19/03 might be able to swing something this year. Never do know and keep on wishing! LOL

Hey - we're in for the 2005 Andy/Rae cruise as well! Wouldn't miss it for anything! In fact it would be an appropriate interval to have a vow renewal following our wedding - and I guess we'll just have to book a nice suite for the occasion...Maybe we could we all meet up there?....

Wow we're not long back in the UK from an awesome cruise! While Disney sure did their stuff - particularly touching and memorable were the overwhelmingly generous gifts, good wishes and generosity of so many people who had never met us before. That was truly incredible for us. Touches and evidence of Andy were everywhere throughout the cruise! We toasted him at the wine tasting more than once!!

Rae - thanks for your kind words above - although I note you go on to say : "their daughter is just a delightful, well-behaved and .......child!!!" WELL BEHAVED?? I thought you told Buckaroo's Dad you never lied?

Once we have sorted ourselves out over the next week or so - I will post a complete trip report - with pictures...

Best wishes to all Disser's

Can't wait to read your MAGICal trip report and see your MAGICal photos. Looking forward to meeting you in person in April 2005. Look down at the bottom of my post, and you will see the countdown clock for the Andy and Rae 50th MAGICal Birthday Celebration Cruise!!!

Nice suite??? Sounds MAGICal to me!!!

Andy

Hey Rae! You are now a minor celebrity....I hope Disney has noticed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rae:

You have your own thread! I hope you had a marvelous time. Sounds like you had as much fun with the spa this cruise as we did last time. Glad to have you back with us although I know you'd rather be crusin'

Matthew - Franceska is exactly what I said!!!!!! You are being too modest about her!!!! Don't tell me - THE Suite?!!!!!
Was just telling Andy that I was hoping we'd get you back on "our" birthday cruise!!! We should try to get a table for all of us to sit together at!!!
That is if DCL would allow the Shrimp Thieves to sit at the same table together!
Vow renewal? Matthew, you are sooooo romantic!!!!! But knowing how much Corinna loves you, it's definitely the right stuff!

BD - Don't listen to Matthew - Wait til you meet Franceska!!!
She is everything I said and more!!!! I never lie, especially when it comes to kids and their behavior!

Andy - the more the merrier for the cruise!!!! Eastern is more relaxing, so I have been told. I do so enjoy the days at sea.
So sorry to hear about your co-worker but yes, God had a plan for you to be there. Just have to remember that and be glad He is in charge!

Tiiigergirl - yes, I remember your Surial Spa experience. Please tell me why Disney can't/won't replace Steiner personnel with DCL personnel and services. It is starting to feel like a whole different world there - and that's NOT good. Maybe if more people would complain along with compliment, things would improve.

jlawall - a "minor celebrity" - oh please!!!! You crack me up! Remember I'm the one who did the Duck for our community fund raiser. Everyone loved me - didn't know who I was, but loved me anyway! That duck suit does cover up a lot of faults!!!!! My own thread....well, that's a start....

I went online Dreams Unlimited to try and get booking rates for the 2005 trip, but their choice of dates does not go that far. Who did you book with, and how do I book this far ahead. I wanted to try someone else other than going directly through Disney, as I have read over and over on this board that you get get cheaper rates elsewhere. Any help would be appreciated!!

I haven't booked yet either, just have the dates set aside. Rae and I believe in planning EARLY. When you are approaching 50, like we are, you don't want to take the chance and forget something as a 50th Birthday Celebration Cruise. I will be booking the cruise once the dates become available.

Andy

Thanks for the information. I know how it is not whating to forget things, I am over the 50 mark a few years!! When you do book let us know how you make out and who you book with. Also I checked out your picture pages and saw the production done at your church, I assume. I go to a community non-denominational church here in lower Delaware, and am part of our drama team. Your production looked like it was a lot of fun to be in! I also do clowning as a ministry, and do two week short mission trips in the summer. This summer I am returning to ALbania for two weeks to work with a childrens feeding program. Oh, coming in the night before and staying at the Radisson sounds like a great idea and alot of fun. I'm getting excited about the trip and I haven't even booked yet, oh well that's how much I love Disney and really love the cruise line now!!

Mowanda,

I will be using my DVC points so I will be booking through the Disney Vacation Club, that much I know for sure!!!

Gotta grab a bite of lunch and get back to work, it's been nice talking with you and looking forward to meeting you on the cruise!!!

Andy

I also have those dates, set aside, Maybe the ship will fill up with those celebrating the Rae and Andy 50th Birthday cruise. With all these Dis meets before cruise coming up at the Radison, I may have to pop over and say hello. I can't wait to drive to Port Canaveral and find a good spot to watch all sail away. Keep those report's coming on the May 3rd cruise. We must have gotten lucky with the Steiner people in March, but my friend did have a problem with the nail lady, because she overbooked herself. The lady I had for the sea weed wrap was great, I just need to find out where to get more stuff. Of course I can always go on another cruise. (I have to get a job at Disney). I agree with Rae, I think they should use Disney people.

When I was onboard, I spoke to Donna (cruise booking rep) about the April 2005 booking - what she did was book me on the last December trip in 2004 and when the 2005 schedule comes out, I can transfer that December for the April cruise - and not lose my $200 credit.

ANDY!!!!!!!
I just found out that I got my add on! 100 points at Vero Beach for $65.00 - sellers pay closing costs! I end up with 200 points on September 1 (for this year's banked plus next years points)!
That's nearly enough for 1 Adult cruise!!!!

Pop over and say hello at the Radisson on Friday night August 22, 2003. We will gathering around the pool. We arrive at MCO around 5:30, then we have to get our rental car, then will be heading over to the Radisson. Some of us said we would probably get to pool side around 8:00pm. So far, we have 7 DISfamilies staying at the Radisson that Friday night. If you can make it, you're more than welcome to join us.
