Ok, Pete. You said you encourage honest criticism, so here's my beef.

Why does this site run so slow at times? I am trying to surf, and when I click on a link it can take 30 seconds for the page to load. I know it's not my connection. I pay for the fastest service available (6mbs), and it is blazing.

Honestly, yours has the slowest page loads of any site I visit. I totally understand you have more traffic on here than most other sites, but shouldn't that give you some sort of cash flow to upgrade the servers? And if money is an issue, why not push sponsorships more? Tell people if you want better speed, pony up some cash. I see the sponsor icons under some names, however you simply don't notice a big desire on the websites' part to drum up more sponsors, so I wonder if there truly is a need to sign up more people.

I'm no server guy, but are you tapped out as far as number of servers you can have? Some insight would be nice. I'm sure others have issues with page loading, too.

Thanks (ps. Love the show, and you can talk about Dreams the whole podcast if you like--just make the damn site run faster).

The hamsters that run their servers sometimes get lethargic after lunch. Cory tries to bring them a Redbull to speed them up but sometimes traffic is terrible and getting to the server farm just takes a while.

No, it's not a server issue, it's a software issue. This has become more pronounced with the newest version of VBulletin that we upgraded to last month. We are aware of it and are working on a solution - but I don't have a time frame yet as we have not definitively located the source of the issue (we have a good idea though).

This site is clearly infected with Hefalumps and Woozles. :scared:

Ahh, see I have 20mb so I think that's why I don't have significant problems., although sometimes it flashes up a server problem!

I think we all know that the official slowest website ever prize goes to..... Disney.com!!!

Oooo I know...... you get the hamsters a new KIA Soul to bob their heads to the music as they speed up the site;)

I wasn't gonna post anything here but a Red Bull commercial came on while I was reading. Sooo.....yeah, ok.

The ASP I have to deal with at work runs much more slowly, because it has a 3 legged, separated conjoined twin hamster in it. At least, that's the rumor...

Anna, how on earth do you spike Coke out of your nose? Sounds frightening!! :scared1:

Wow wish you have quick internet over there.

Disney.com doesn't give me too many problems. Than again neither do the disboards. Once in awhile they are slower loading for me but not too often. I also only have 6mbs. My cable company does offer faster but only by a couple of mbs unless you upgrade to a business account. Even than it only goes to 12mbs I think.
