Can I do this? I will have 10 points left, from this UY, that I will be banking. I will get 150 points in October 2005.

I would like to get a Grand Villa for our trip in December 2005. My friend's home is OKW. She will be getting 310 points in October 2005.

She is going to try to get the reservation for me, since she can call at the 11 month mark. I think we're going to do a day-by-day reservation then link it...hopefully this will work out.

Anyway...this is my question...I am going to transfer my points to her. Can I transfer the 10 banked points and the 28 borrowed points (from 2006 UY)? Or can you only transfer current UY points?

You can't transfer banked points and borrowed points are only available for use when actually making a reservation. In this case, you could transfer those 10 points from this Use Year to her and then transfer the 150 you'll have from the 2005 Use Year, but will have to wait to transfer the 06 points.

As for linking the reservation- when calling day-by-day, she should just let MS know- on the first day she calls- that she will be adding to that reservation daily until complete. That way, they won't need to send out daily confirmations and the entire reservation will be combined as one and only one confirmation letter will have to be sent.

When can I call to transfer the 150 points I will get next October?

And, when can I call to transfer the 28 points I need to borrow from October 2006?

I'm sorry that this is taking so long for me to understand all this.

You have to wait till October to transfer the 150 pts to her. For the remaining 28 pts you will have to wait until the 2006 use year. However, you could just pay her $280, and then not give her the last 28 pts. That's like renting the points from her.
