OK, I've got the ticker....Poly in August!!!

I know....how about you pick one place, I'll pick another place, and we can switch off mid-week. Or you pick two, I pick two and then we will have 4 to choose from. I really really want to make the Poly work for us because I just love it so much and since it will be the first time for our friends, I think it would just be so nice. But there are so many other resorts, I hate to pick one I have already tried. Grrrr....maybe the discount that will surely come out between now and then will decide it for me.

[I think you're right Kathy, I am leaning towards POR quite a bit. Love the Alligator Bayou room decor, and their food court was a little better than FQ. I think I will just book POR and if a really good discount comes out I can switch to the Poly or AKL.

I guess that this is what I am thinking too... I will book of POFQ, and if something good comes out, I will switch/split to AKL.

I have to wait until I am done with my Super Secret Surprise though...

It's true. It's farthest out. Sometimes it does suck. But, we love it anyway.

I love it too....and someday I WILL stay there. But I want to wait until we have been a few more times and we spend a little more down time at the resort to really enjoy the animals. Right now we are at the parks more and it feels like a waste to me to have all that AKL goodness around us and not see it! And if I am paying the price for a savanna view room, I would rather stay at the Poly

There really aren't any bad resort choices at DW... it's just what your personal preference and taste is and how much you want to spend...

The Poly is the most $$$ of everything you mentioned... it is right on the monorail...

Port Orleans is really pretty and much less $$$ but you only have the buses...

I'm going to the Beach Club for my next trip... but I do have to put in a plug for the Animal Kingdom Lodge... it really is a stunning resort, having the animals -especially with a little guy...really specially... it really has a luxe feel to it... the only down side is that the only transportation are the buses... but having said that they were always pretty consistent and never overly crowded...

you do have a little bit to decide...

I know...thank goodness I have a year to go. Plenty of time for switching resorts and all my bright ideas The only two resorts I have stayed at are the Poly and POFQ, so I think I should switch things up a little. It really all depends on what our friends want to do. POR is looking like the leader right now, so I think I will talk to my friend over the weekend and maybe book it next week.

I'm here, I'm here! Sorry for the late arrival everyone.....I am back now for good cause I have to really seriously sit down and do my besties schedule for her trip. She is starting to overwhelm me with her questions and inquiries about DW. She just doesn't understand any of it and she is not doing any reserach herself, she keeps asking me everything and unfortuanetly I am not a great "explainer" by nature (not very patient if you know what I mean) and I am trying not to get too frusturated with her. A couple of her questions last night via text message (like honest to god, how can I even answer these in a text?!)

1: How long are lines usually at rides?
2: How many rides can you do in a day at Magic Kingdom?
3: Is the tree of life a ride?
4: How does fastpass work?

GAHH!!!! Of coarse, we all have/had these questions when WE first started our Disney Journeys once-upon-a-time, but at least we used a "search" function and did some research ourselves for info, not just drilling our friends for info. Ok, sorry - I clearly had to vent....thanks for listening Solana (and everyone else) I am just feeling a bit overwhelmed with her questions and wish she would do some research herself sometimes. Today I am going to do her first 2 days for her in a "schedule" of sorts just to show her how to organize/plan her day, hopefully when that is done, she will stop with the questioning. LOL

Mine and D~'s dates match better, but her plans for MNSSHP don't match since we will be leaving either two days before or the day before she plans to be at the party. Our dates right now are Oct 9-15 or 16 (W-Tu or W)... Even if we went a F-Th (Oct 11-17) we wouldn't be there for the party that night, we would have get on the road before then.

Ummm...about half of them.

HaHaHa But actually a justifiable question since Spaceship Earth is actually a ride.

Some day I would like to schedule it in, but for now....I am addicted to Disney and when I go there, I don't want to go out of the Disney bubble. I am not giving up on being able to do some sort of meet with D~ and her girls, and with you. We still have a year of decisions and changes to decsions to get all these pesky details worked out...not gonna get my panties in a wad just yet!

We originally were going to stay at AKL but DH & I decided to opt for a family suite at AoA for the extra room.

My DH isn't as crazy about Disney as I am but he likes it more than he lets on. He's quite willing to go and has even suggested buying into DVC at some point in the future.
