OK, I've got the ticker....Poly in August!!!

ROFL!!!

So glad you finally made a decision... No going back now!

Looking forward to seeing those rooms for myself!

Congrats!

D~

You ain't kidding! I feel such a huge relief just knowing it is done and I can't go back now...not that I want to...I am very happy with my choice. I just hope the lobby renovations haven't started yet.

I knew you'd end up back at the Poly.

I just took a peek at the new rooms. As much as I loved the old ones, the new ones really look beautiful.

If I can keep a secret from my husband for six months, you can keep this secret for less than 100 days. :)

Yeah, well....I already told him :headache: I was just so excited, and I knew he would be too. The other day when we were doing the double digit dance I let it slip. Oops.

Happy Mother's Day, Suzi.

Happy Mother's day Suzi!

Thank you both from the bottom of my heart and I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too! I did a lot of running around, but I am fairly close to my family and it wasn't a huge deal. Bill made me cinnamon buns for breakfast and did the laundry. Bradey made me a ton of cards and picture and it was just a great day

On a trip related note....I wanted to post an updated daily plan since the crowd calendars have changed so much. And now that I know we are staying at the Poly, I can jump back and forth between parks easier. So, the plan is:

Fri Aug 16th: We drive the 2 hours to Manchester and stay in a hotel by the airport. Which BTW, I got for free because I had enough CC reward points for a Marriot giftcard.

Sat Aug 17th: Leave MHT at 7:05 - Arrive MCO at 10:15. ME should get us to the Poly around 11-11:30. Check in and eat at Captain Cooks. If our room is ready (doubtful on a Saturday) we will drop our carry on and change out of our travel clothes. If not, we will give our carry on to the baggage people (totally drawing a blank as to what they are called) and head to the MK. We will ride People Mover and whatever else we can get on without a line in the middle of the day. Maybe do CoP and Philharmagic to stay cool and give Sara a taste of Disney. When we get our room ready text, we will head back and change for dinner. Walk over to the TTC and hop the monorail to Epcot for Via Napoli. After dinner we will probably just head back to the Poly and catch the water parade from the beach before turning in....we will be pretty tired after getting up at 5.

Sun Aug 18th: Animal Kingdom for rope drop. I want to see all the shows this time and do everything except Primeval Whirl and maybe Kali. I anticipate being done around 4ish and heading back to the Poly for dinner at Capt Cooks. We will hop over to the MK to watch MSEP this night because MK has EMH and we won't have to fight everyone leaving at once.

Mon Aug 19th: Epcot for rope drop. Breakfast at Sunshine Seasons. Just focusing on Future World this day, but we might do a couple countries if Bradey feels up to it. Would love to meet Duffy, so we will see what his line looks like.

Tues Aug 20th: Magic Kingdom for rope drop to see the show. We will probably only try to do one land this morning before heading to DTD to grab a Mr. Potatohead for Bradey. Maybe we will swing in a welcome D and the girls to the World, but they will be on a pretty tight schedule so probably not. Dinner at Boma this night, then possibly try to catch Illuminations since Epcot has EMH that night. If we take the bus from AKL after Boma, we might have time enough to scope out a spot.

Wed Aug 21st: MK again to do the rest of the lands. We have breakfast at Kona this day, so we might not make it right at rope drop, but we won't be far behind. Hoping to score the Dessert Party this night...been checking every day.

Thur Aug 22nd: Sleep in day, Kona for a late breakfast. Hollywood Studios in the afternoon to see what we can get done.

Fri Aug 23rd: Hollywood Studios at rope drop if there is anything we couldn't ride the night before, but otherwise we will just sleep in again. Lunch at Chef's de France and World Showcase that afternoon/evening.

Sat Aug 24th: Departure day.....but not until later, so we will get up around 8 and get our stuff together. We have breakfast at Crystal Palace at 9:55, so we will check our luggage and leave our carry on stuff with bell services. Then head over to MK. After breakfast, we will just do whatever we want to do before the ME picks us up around 3:30. Flight leaves at 6:30 and it will be a late night as we land around 9 then the 2 hour drive home. I might decide to stay in Manchester that night depending on how Bradey is doing.

Somewhere in there I want to visit a few resorts for lunch. I plan on starting at the park of the day early, then taking a mid-day break every day. We will resort hop most of those days for lunch, then head back to the Poly for a little pool time before heading back out for the night. I plan to visit at least Art of Animation and Wilderness Lodge. Would love to fit in OKW and CSR too, but we will see.

So to sum up in case you don't want to read all the above:

Sat 17 - MK/EP Via Napoli 6:20pm
Sun 18 - AK - MK at night
Mon 19 - EP(FW)
Tue 20 - MK Boma 6:15pm
Wed 21 - MK Kona 8:15am Dessert Party
Thu 22 - Free AM - Kona 10:15am - HS evening
Fri 23 - HS?? - Chefs 12:50pm - EP(WS)
Sat 24 - MK - Crystal Palace 9:55am - Free

Hoping to meet up with D and Kathy...and Ann if we can....who else is there??

I looked over your latest schedule and it sounds great...except it looks like the only opportunities for us to hook up are Sunday, the 18th, if you come for the Electrical Parade during EMH's or Tuesday, the 20th, if you go back to Epcot for Illmuniations. The only other option I see is if you hit OKW during a resort visit ad it is our day off...which is Wednesday, the 21st; we'll be hanging at the resort until 3 when we go to pick up our rental car.

You had a dinner at O'Hana planned then you were going to watch Wishes from the beach, right? I think that was the 19th? We have nothing planned that evening...maybe we could meet up at the Poly then. We will figure something out...I want to meet Miss Kathy!

You are right; we have dinner at Ohana on Monday, the 19th, at 6:25 p.m. That is a great plan! And I want to meet you too.

Your plan looks awesome Suzi. It looks like our only overlapping day is Wednesday at MK... Which is fine... Since the girls and I are off on Saturday - maybe we can meet up after our Ohana breakfast outside the MK gates so we can say goodbye? We won't have park tickets for that day - otherwise we'd come in and say our goodbyes.

Oh we'll be hopping all over the place. Those are just our morning plans...who knows where we will be in the evenings :) I'm sure we will meet up a couple times. Fingers crossed for the Dessert Party! Should be opening up while we are together at MOA...so we'll have to check it frequently.

Yep...looks that way. But September isn't an option this year. I actually like going in the summer because they are rarely doing a refurb on rides then, and there are no funky decorations. Pumpkins and trick or treating are for cool fall days here in New England. It just seems weird to be to be down there in the heat with fall decor up. Same goes for Christmas. Maybe some year, but for now, Christmas means snow. I like the plain old Disney and having nothing taking away from my favorite views.
:scared1:

Don't knock it until you see the decorations!!!!!!

as you know i was very busy this weekend and had NO time to post...
1st Happy Mother's day!!!
2nd I do like your plans!! so Exciting your meeting tons of Dis'ers!!!!
Ok will be back... Yes a promise...

Hey Suzi, looking at your latest schedule, we may possibly cross paths in EPCOT the evening of Aug 20th. Other than that our plans are totally different! :lmao: And now you've made the big jump to the Poly, I won't even see you around POR!!! Not even our ADR's match up. Oh well.....maybe......You never know!!

Hi finally getting a chance to catch up. We have 2 days that overlap. The 21st MK and dessert party (here's hoping!) and HS on the 23rd

I'm sure the holiday decorations are beautiful....and some day I will get there for each and every holiday to see them. But for now, I like my Christmas with snow and my fall with orange, yellow and red leaves :thumbsup2

Hi Ann! We will try to meet up, but we can always meet up here too....Augusta isn't that far away. We will swap numbers when it gets a little closer ::yes::

Yeah, I saw that you were hoping for the 21st Dessert party too. I hate that they don't just open that up at the 180 day mark like the rest of the ADRs...so annoying! But I kinda like it too...gives me something else to get excited about. What fun would it be to just have everything all set at 180 days??

So we will see eachother there at least. :dance3:

Ahh I fear that I will miss when it opens and we'll miss out on it! which would really suck since I have a wishes dress planned for V! You're right tho, it is something new to get excited about!
I have too much to plan tho! V wants to do one of those Disney singing music video things. Yaaaa I don't know about that!

Good morning Sunshine!!! Only 3 more days!!! WHOOT!!!

D~

Good Morning Suzi!:wave2:

Just found your PTR and read the whole thing over coffee. :surfweb: We will be there at the same time as you (Aug. 17 - Aug. 25), staying in the LM section of AoA. I am a bit concerned about the walk from that section to everything else but, financially, it made the most sense for us. :rolleyes2 It will be my family, my sister, her DH, her 4 children and my parents. That's right, 14 of us!:scared1:

Loving your report and looking forward to more.popcorn::

Hi Kelly...thanks for joining in. I have to apologize for my lack of updates lately. My mind has been set on my upcoming DISmeet this weekend. Once that goes by, I will hopefully pick up speed here with some solid plans. And hopefully after this weekend I can add the Dessert Party to my ADR list!

But WELCOME! AoA will be so great....kinda wishing I didn't change. But I am very excited to stay at the Poly again.

So...14 of you?! How many rooms did you get?

Suzi, I'm not on here much anymore, but wanted to be sure I wished you a great DIS meet with D and Mo. Please give them each a hug for me and tell them to hug you back for me.

Will do Kathy! I'm not on here much anymore either. My old job allowed me to play online all day long, but my new job doesn't. So I have to just follow along with my subscriptions on my phone...which is a dinky little thing. So I try to limit my time.

I have a 3 hr layover at Midway....you could come by for lunch and meet Mo & I :)
