OK. I'm a Sucker. "ENCHANTED" CD has Disney magic!

I just got back and loved it.

My favorite song was "That's How You Know" - I would LOVE to see this as a production number in a parade or show or something in the parks. It was simply hilarious. There was an enthusiastic audience in my screening, plenty of "EEEW!"'s whenever a rodent appeared ;) .

I loved the way they worked Jodi Benson and Paige O'Hara into it. (You could even hear "Part of Your World" and "Beauty and the Beast" playing the the background!) I didn't see the voice of Pocahontas, though. I didn't know what she looked liked but I figured I would recognize her voice somewhere but I didn't. Also loved Julie Andrews narrating.

And did anyone catch what restaurant they ate at? Bella Notte. ;)

I was surprised that they used "That's Amore' " as the intro/mood song for the Italian Restaurant (it's even on the Soundtrack CD, sung by Prince Edward, himself, James Marsden.) I wonder why they didn't use the song "Bella Notte" (from Lady and the Tramp?)

As far as Paige O'Hara...
Take a look at some pics of her here-

Yeah you'd think they'd use "Bella Notte" but I guess not.

Actually it was Pocahontas I didn't spot, though, not Belle . . . sorry if you misread my post. :upsidedow I did some research, though and found out Pocahontas is a resident of Robert's apartment building (so I'm guessing she's in that part where Edward is knocking on every apartment's door?).

Also found out that one of the elderly gentlemen that dances in "That's How You Know" actually performed in "Step in Time" in Mary Poppins!!! How cool is that! Wikipedia also has a whole list of Disney stuff to look for (it has spoilers, though, so beware!).

Thanks.
I didn't know if it was like a major company change or anything.

Ok, this is off topic, but. . .

We've got to come up with something better than DHS.

I'm in the Coast Guard, and we're in the Department of Homeland Security, and when I see DHS, I get different pictures in my head.

I thought Robo was insinuating that we need to alert DHS of fairytale people invading Central Park.

It'll always be MGM to me ;)

She is prolific on Broadway.

I remember when Disney premiered the film, Pocahantas... on a huge outdoor screen in Central Park, NYC.
Judy appeared live in the park that day on Good Morning America singing "Colors of the Wind."

I love the music! But really, you can't go wrong with Steven Schwartz and Alan Menken. I have been singing "That's How You Know" for days, and the thought of "So Close" makes me want to shed a tear! :)

ages would it be appropriate for? My wife is thinking of taking our four year old daughter who loves princesses. To give you an idea, we were at a hotel Labor Day weekend that didn't have the Disney Channel (surprised). The kids were watching a dvd on a portable player at night and my wife and I started watching Ever After on TV. I told my wife that our daughter probably wouldn't recognize the movie. When their show ended they watched with us. My son who is older recognized the movie. My daughter told us she really liked the movie.

Will she like Enchanted?
I think so. I really like both, but Enchanted is better IMO. The only thing you should probably be warned about is that the queen is scary, especially near the end.

I'll be sure to look for her next time.

We got to see Enchanted yesterday. It was WONDERFUL!! We brought my 3 (almost 4) year old son to see it and he loved it. The evil queen was a bit scary at the end and I thought he may get scared but it didn't seem to bother him in the way I thought it would.

Great movie!! Can't wait to see it again.:wizard:

I understand from some research that there was another song written and recorded for Enchanted that was cut from the film and the Soundtrack CD.

It was a duet entitled "Enchanted" featuring Idina Menzel (Nancy, Robert's girlfriend) and James Marsden (Prince Edward.)

Don't know why this was cut.

I have been excited about this movie since I saw the trailers AGES ago. Months and months ago, I searched and searched online for a trailer and made all my friends watch it.

The buzz on the film is phenomenal. I'll be seeing it tomorrow. Can't wait!!

Loved, loved, loved the movie on Friday. Interesting that a musical number w/ Nancy(Idina Menzel) was cut. We couldn't believe she was in the movie & they didn't have her sing -- Tony-award winning actress working w/ the composer whose work landed her the Tony & they cut the song

I'll be looking for Enchanted in Broadway stagelights within five years -- not sure how they'll re-work it all for the stage, but my guess is it will only improve & we'll probably have a few more great songs to hum when it takes the stage.

I'd been waiting for it since I read about it in my stock report, and that was in late 06 or early this year.

Fabulous movie!! :thumbsup2 My family loved it. The music was so good we had to stop at Target on the way home and buy the soundtrack!

Got the soundtrack yesterday after seeing the movie the day before! It's all we've been listening to !

I heard this, too . . . I read that Alan Menken said that it would most likely be featured on the DVD, as others said.

Can't wait to hear it :)

Uh-oh . . . does this mean I'm going to have to buy another version of the soundtrack later on down the road?! :headache: Just watch it be "album only" on itunes

I just saw the movie today & really liked it. Even my DS(12):scared1: had a good time! I'll be buying the cd this week. :goodvibes
