OK. I'm a Sucker. "ENCHANTED" CD has Disney magic!

My bad.. the accompany promotional materials clearly explain that Pip is a chipmunk. Woops!

SQUIRRELS?

I sure hope Chip 'n Dale are not reading the boards right now!

:)

Thanks to the rave reviews of the soundtrack here, I had to run out to Target this morning to buy it!! We leave tomorrow to drive to Disney (2 day drive) so this will be awesome to listen to on the trip. :thumbsup2 We are going to try to see the movie at Downtown Disney while we're there.

I don't know why, but this movie just doesn't appeal to me so far.

1) I think it is a direct copy of the 1987 non-Disney TV series "The Charmings".
2) They fall through a well and wake up in 20th century.
. . . Snow White
. . . Prince Charming
. . . their two children
. . . one dwarf
. . . wicked witch (Cindy's mother)
. . . magic mirror (on the wall)
3) Daily battles and getting used to USA terms and live.
4) It though it was cute, we taped every episode.
5) Lasted 2 seasons.

6) Cute casting
. . . Christopher Rich - Eric Charming
. . . Judy Parfitt - Queen Lillian White (Wicked Witch & Snow's mom)
. . . Cork Hubbert - Luther (dwarf)
. . . Brandon Call - Thomas Charming (Snow's son)
. . . Garette Ratliff Henson - Cory Charming (Snow's son)
. . . Paul Winfield - The Mirror
. . . Carol Huston - Snow White Charming 1987-1988
. . . Caitlin O'Heaney - Snow White Charming 1987

Listened to Carrie Underwood and she is great, will see the Movie maybe tomorrow!:thumbsup2 I love DISNEY SOUNDTRACKS!:cool1:

I have been super pumped about this movie FOREVER (ok, actually since May when I first saw the trailer ;) ). I got the soundtrack yesterday (the salesperson actually told me they were SOLD OUT, but then I went and looked for myself and there were two whole shelves of em!). So far I've listened to the whole score, plus Happy Working Song and Ever Ever After. It's killing me not listening to the other songs, but I didn't want to spoil too much of the movie for myself. :)

I've had it marked on my calendar for the longest time to see it on its release date, today, but then what do you know I haven't seen it yet! Something came up and now we're hoping for Friday. We'll see.

Here's a thread for anyone that's interested about Giselle's recent MGM appearance.

And Laughing Place has posted pics of the world premiere of the movie.

We just got back from seeing the movie and it was wonderful!!! I can't wait to download the soundtrack and see the movie again - probably a matinee the next time - it just kills me to pay $9.50 for a movie!! It cuts into my popcorn money. (And a girl does need her diet coke and popcorn when at the movies!!!) popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

I saw Enchanted this afternoon and LOVED it. I plan on getting the soundtrack Friday.

And keep an eye out when you do see it! There is a cameo appearance by the girl who orginally did the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid! I thought that was SO cool!!!!! I love those kind of touches in a movie!

Enchanted is quite good. While it doesn't quite achieve the magic levels of Mary Poppins, it is absolutely worth seeing in a theater (you can check out my quick review at my blog...shameless plug ;) ).

Anyway, I think that there certainly is room for some type of Enchanted presence at the park, however, I could only really see it as a face character of Giselle. There aren't really enough songs for a stage show and there aren't any other characters in the film that I could see a face characters (or other characters).

No matter what type of presence is seen in the park, if you're a Disney fan, you owe it to yourself to see Enchanted.

Better than that...

Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel)

Paige O'Hara (voice of Belle)

Judy Kuhn (singing voice of Pocahontas)

All three actresses make cameo appearances in Enchanted.

A very nice plus!

(Just the kind of thing that keeps us Disney Suckers coming back!)

;)

I just KNEW there would be something like this that I missed! Where did she appear/who was she in the movie? I rarely go to movies, so we won't go see it again until we can buy it on DVD, but I'd like to see if I can remember seeing her.

The movie was GREAT, every bit as fun as I was hoping it would be.

Just saw the movie this afternoon... Took the girls.
I loved it. And I'm a 37 year-old Star Wars fan...

Happiest... Ending... Ever....

My wife and I just got back from seeing Enchanted (couldn't wait any longer.)

It has its good moments and a couple of 'dry spells" but,
when its working, it works the magic VERY WELL.

The songs fit into the movie perfectly.

The live-action dance number in the park is one of the most entertaining musical sequences I've seen in a long time. Just big-time FUN!

And Amy Adams is absolutely BELIEVABLE as the (almost) princess.
Her face is perfect. Her voice is perfect. Her personality is perfect.
It's not hard to predict that this film will cause her star to ascend.

The love song "So Close" is used in a ballroom scene that is so well choreographed and photographed that it can make a grown man cry. (Don't ask me how I know this.)

Don't go expecting to see a film as good as Snow White or Beauty and the Beast, because Enchanted is not an entirely perfect FILM compared to those true classics.
But it just may have the perfect star, and enough perfect individual moments to make it a favorite Disney tale for years to come.

And the beautiful music (which made me start this thread) is almost perfectly used throughout.

Hope you enjoy it!

We saw it on Wednesday and LOVED it! Speaking of Disney touches....did anyone else see the "Hidden Mickey" in the martini glass. Even my 5 yo dd noticed it. My DH thinks that I am starting to see things:lmao:

saw it wednesday and adored it. so did my 25 year old daughter and 21 year old son. it's the perfect date movie and frankly guys could learn alot from it. oh and if you were seeing things, then so did I because I saw the hidden mickey as well.

I just got back and loved it.

My favorite song was "That's How You Know" - I would LOVE to see this as a production number in a parade or show or something in the parks. It was simply hilarious. There was an enthusiastic audience in my screening, plenty of "EEEW!"'s whenever a rodent appeared ;) .

I loved the way they worked Jodi Benson and Paige O'Hara into it. (You could even hear "Part of Your World" and "Beauty and the Beast" playing the the background!) I didn't see the voice of Pocahontas, though. I didn't know what she looked liked but I figured I would recognize her voice somewhere but I didn't. Also loved Julie Andrews narrating.

And did anyone catch what restaurant they ate at? Bella Notte. ;)

One thing I was a little perplexed about was at the very end it said "Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures" . . . what happened to Buena Vista? :confused3
