Perhaps I've been away for too long? Just got back from my umpteenth time in December. Please, someone who is not as dimwitted as me, who or what is Bob Jackson?
He is the piano player at the lounge at PO-Riverside. When PO-R was downside due to WDW cutbacks from 9/11 fallout, Bob was one of the one's let go. From what we understand, he was playing locally in the Orlando area until a massive call and e-mail campaign convinced PO-Riverside to bring him back later this month. We have caught his show and it is, without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable and entertaining player-piano shows I've ever seen. He plays great sing-a-long songs that make everyone WANT to join in. He then comes around to the tables during the breaks, introduces himself, and just makes everyone feel wonderful and glad to be alive. He signs autographed pictures and is grateful for tips. I think he sells CD's. We can't wait to see him again at PO-R on June 7. My wife commented, "It just wouldn't be Dixie Landings without Bob. He is the main reason I want to stay there." And so, we are.
Gosh, I can't wait to see him for the first time during my upcoming vacation. I have always read such nice things about him. I'm glad our letter writing campaign worked.
