Ok... I think I am having a bad day!

First Reilly decides he really needs some company at 6:30 am... he usually is fine till 9 or so.. and since I went to bed at 2 that really isn't a lot of sleep...
So I am working on some stuff when I notice I the right side of my face is swelling up and rather sore...
I look like I have one sided Mumps.
DW the ER nurse takes a look and says "looks to me like a stone in your paratid gland". So I call the doctor and he says "sounds like you have a stone in your paratid gland". Hot compresses, motrin etc etc.. and "a tincture of time". Have to love a poetic doctor.
So.. I take it easy, watch the Patriot's crush Buffaloe... try out a new roast chicken recipe... then bring something down to the cellar when I notice water spurting from the heating system.. I am thinking this is NOT a good sign... the pressure regulator is leaking like crazy.
It's 635 and of course Home Depot closes at 7.. so I am out the door in a hurry, really don't feel like paying for an emergency service call on the boiler.
So the boiler is fixed... and I'm just wondering what is going to go wrong next!!!!!!

BTW what gland has a stone? Nothing to do with saliva ducts is it? Just wondering.

That's the one Mystery Machine, it's not the parathyroid but the paratid, it produces saliva and apprerantly it can get a stone, just like a kidney stone but WAY less painful! You can actually see the swelling go up if I eat something..

That reminds me, Alex, I got to watch one of the doctors I work for take out a HUGE paratid stone last Wednesday. It looked like a big, bloody fang.....really cool. The guy's face looked like he had one-sided mumps, though.
