OK, I guess I will start the Waiting for OCT-DEC AP rate thread

We are already booked for a Tower room at the Contemporary for Oct 23 - 30. We got the email and a rate of $245 per night. Does anyone think that AP rates will be better rates than the email rates? Or should I just be happy with this rate?

bvandiver,

I believe, right now the Sept AP rate is = to the E mail discount that runs to the end of year. If Disney follows what it's been doing this year on AP discounts, for an AP discounts to year end, I don't really expect them to be much if any better. It's still worth checking however. Disney is nothing if not inconsistent!

Could someone with AAA tell me how expensive it is, and what kind of discounts they provide, and if it is an automatic discount or if you have to watch and wait like this.

If it is cheap to be a member, and I could get some kind of discount now, I'd do it for insurance in case I can't get October AP rates.

Thanks a bunch from another Melissa!

It was my pleasure to help!

I believe the discount is 15%. I believe that you can book the AAA discount without being a member. In fact, I know you can as I have that kind of booking right now. If no Oct. discounts become available, I will join up with AAA.

it depends on the resort. I believe values are 20% and mods and deluxes are 15%.

My membership is 51.00 per year.

You request the AAA discount on booking. MUCH LESS STRESSFUL.

FWIW, Our AAA club also offers park hopper pass discounts, and discounts to other parks in the greater Olrando area.

Do you know the number of days the passes you can get from AAA are?

The number of days and the types of hoppers depends on the club. I think our club offers 4 day, and 5 and 6 day plus hopper passes.

Sometimes I have been asked for my card number by the CRO and sometimes I have not.

In situations like this, where I am unsure whether or not the codes come out, I always book AAA, then switch or upgrade.

A poster from Upstate New York just got THE postcard today!
Does that mean there is still hope?
I'm in upstate NY too!

Any other upstate New Yorkers?

I tried at 4 pm est today and the CLUELESS CM told me she only had codes until AUGUST. Why do we even call? I wanted to scream and say "honey, where have you been? There are codes for September!"
I don't know who needs more help, the CM's or us?
I played her game anyway , she asked my email address, etc. Wow, they may send me an email now??? Who cares, there is probably nothing left anyway.

People who have gotten THE postcard TODAY live in:
Upstate NY
NJ
Maine
Rhode Island
Mass.
PA

Looks like there is a batch mailing to northeastern USA.

Please Mickey, send me one tomorrow! :wizard:

Is that all chocolate? Where was that taken and what was it and how much? Looks soooo cool!

Hi! Yes it is all chocolate. Solid White chocolate Mickey. I pre-ordered this through the Cali Grill restaurant for a surprise for my DH. The cost was $45 plus tax. Hubby was definitely surprised and the strawberrries were delish!

They have never asked me for my AAA number when booking using AAA. I do it every trip until something better comes along.

AAA is a drivers club. I think we have the AAA plus and that costs like $100 a year. Since I like to drive to WDW a lot it comes in handy getting tripticks and rooms discounts on the way there and back. The AAA discount for WDW is not a big deal, only 15%, but better then nothing. I still try to get a better rate using APs or public codes though.
