OK, I guess I will start the Waiting for OCT-DEC AP rate thread

Who wants to join me this morning in a e-mail rant to Disney( yes, I know it won't help-save lecturing) When did the code AZZ become available to the public? It's got to be like a month right? What was the point on them releasing this AP code when the AZZ got just about the same rate? I so wish I didn't buy an AP pass. I'm not going to do this again. If my kids didn't know we were going I would cancel and go the Bahamas or something. I'm supposed to be going Oct.24-Nov.1. I say we let Disney know how annoying this really is. The CM I spoke to this morning also said that now they are releasing codes month by month. If so, my vacation will probably be payed for before new discounts come out.

waiting here as well...I really want WL for our Thanksgiving trip...I can't believe I am spending my summer gettting up early to call & check the boards every day.

My DH thinks I am just NUTS! But he is appreciative of the $'s I save him!

also waiting to apply a discount (fingers crossed) for the last week of our trip 10/9-16. Managed to apply EWK to the first 10 days.... it is nerve wracking waiting this out

I'm hoping for AP rates for my upcoming trip 12/2-12/7, I have the POFQ now using the AAA rates,. I actually arrive 12/1 but I've booked the Best Western by the Airport at $55.00.
When the AP rates come out I may change that to one of the AllStars or POP if they are $49.00
I'm not going to upgrade my POFQ though, I'm just looking for some extra savings. This was not a previously planned trip and I promised my husband I keep the trip to under $1200.00

ValerieK, I'm like you.. I'm using Dreams Unlimited for this trip but I still check the boards too, it's just one of those obsessive things I have to do.

maybe they knew i would do that and that was the scheme behind their mad planning

I was looking at the mousesavers website and last year the AP rates for 10/2-11/24 and 11/28-12/26 did not come out until 8/28.
I hope they come out a bit sooner this year.

The e-mail rates were the same for all the months, August to December even though the seasons changed. I called for mid-October, BWV was $199 standard, same as September.

I was so hoping for October to at least be available for room only or AP discount! We are going 10/8 - 10/16 and I'm booked for rack rate at Pop. Don't they realize that I can spend more $$$ on souvies and food if I'm not spending it on my room??? Maybe something will come soon. *keeping fingers crossed*

I'm looking out for AP discounts too for our 11/6-11 Disney portion of trip. Other two nights we're at HRH.

However, have BWIC booked w/this e mail discount that came out but it's not my 1st or 2nd choice of hotel. Hopefully AP rates will at least open up room availability a little.

I really do not think AP discounts to year end will be the good % off of any level of room that we saw last year. Instead would bet it will be this flat dollar amount off and probably no more or very little different than the e mail now.

I think Disney attendance has risen over last couple of years. They don't need to discount much so why should they. I still love to go but I'm rather glad we're moving over to Universal the last two nights. I'm getting a 30% discount there on the Entertainment card.

SO ... i called ... and i got a CM who didn't seem to have a clue ... WONDERFUL!!!
he tried to add the 2 september nights to extend my ressies so that i could get the AP and value rates...
well, he got me the AP rate for the 2 september nites but told me that he couldn't get them for the october nights. i told him that i thought i should get at least the value rate and he took a second and then said "well we don't have any rooms for the value rate"

so i'm thinking ... but i already have the room ... shouldn't it just apply to that? but i just left it at that and i didn't ask any more questions because he seemed so confused.

at one point in the call he actually deleted my entire reso and had to call the beach club with guest services to get it back!!!
so i gave up!!

he said that he thought the best thing i could do is just keep calling and get the october AP rate. so i left everything the way it was and didn't add any nights ... if it was going to benefit the majority of my stay.

can anyone tell me if i should've gotten the value rate for those october nights?! or do they really only give so many rooms at the value rate? now i'm the one confused!
