What "nonsense" do you wish to stop? Should we all fall in line and embrace a philosophy and an ideology that is contrary to our core beliefs because we "need to come together"? Should we come together on plans and policies that many of us feel will adversely affect our country and and our security? Should we embrace a policy in which, eventually, the majority of Americans will no longer be taxpayers and feel free to vote for politicians that will dissolve our free market economy and provide for themselves entitlements that will never be rescinded and paid for by those of us who will be the target of confiscatory taxes? I will faithfully and steadfastly remain a member of the loyal opposition. If he does something I like, I will let you know. So far, I haven't seen anything that 'qualifies'.

Mickey, deservedly, always gets a number of votes. He is Mickey, after all.

Remind me to log in first before I read these threads. If I forget, my "ignore" list doesn't work.

Apparently, the nonsense hasn't stopped just yet.

Well, I don't know :scratchin ....how have I done it for the last 8 years?

thanks for bring the nonsense to MY thread!!! :sad2: :sad2:

how do you do the ignore button?

Click on the user name of the person to be ignored. Go to their Public Profile. Once there, to the right of the screen, you will see "Add [User] to your ignore list." Click that and the rest is self-explanatory.

Have fun!! Once you get started, it's hard to stop!!

thanks so much I meant for this to be light hearted and I really just don;t think bashing the president is a good thing and is wrong period . remember what your mother said "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all".....:sad2:

I heard durring the last election, that Mickey mouse got over 2,000 "write in" votes. I forget where I heard it, but I got a good laugh. I think it's really funny that people actually write his name in! I wonder how many votes he got this election???? That's an interesting thought.

OP, can I just say that your attitude is fantastic! :thumbsup2

I am about as Democratic as they come...I did not vote for George W. Bush. However, when he beat out Gore & Kerry I accepted it and wished him well.

I had one of my proudest moments as an American when Bush 43 stood in the rubble from the Twin Towers and spoke to those firemen. I'm sure that if I thought hard enough I could come up with more examples of fond memories of Bush 43. :rotfl:

I sure wish that certain conservative Republicans had the same outlook as you. It makes me very sad to hear Americans wish their President would fail, or any number of things that I've heard in the last couple of days. God willing people will give this man a chance and the respect that he deserves and affords everyone else.

:flower3:

Cheermom1 - I agree with you and take the same position. Despite my personal misgivings, he is the President and that in and of itself IMO garners some respect. I didn't vote for him, but I am not a sore loser. He won the majority vote and the least I can do is remain open minded and give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that the American majority made a good decision.

I keep telling my highly emotional, very vocal, oh no the sky is now falling, college age kid the same thing! ;)

I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. I didn't have a candidate to vote for. Seriously, we can no longer trust the men and women who run our government. I don't waste my time complaining about them. They are all alike...

Wait.. I thought Thumper from Bambi said that??

thank you very much, i appreciate that very much. what some people need to do is look in the mirror b4 they bash someone else! we are all human and we all make mistakes, there is not one person who can say they haven't but then bash someone for the same things!? so i say always stop and think b4 you do something that is going to really hurt someone or you for looking stupid when you are called out.....:mic:
