Yeah - they think them and their kids are the most important people in the world. I have a cousin who is like that, so I can relate.

They will get over it and you are the better and bigger person here. No need to explain yourself to anyone. And you would expect your friends to do the same as you did today.

Robin , you are so wise...yeah, hundreds of people came to a first birthday and how many could have cared less? Unlike your friend losing her mother, who in turn after all the years, feels likes your mother....is the right thing to do I loved that woman like she was my own mom...to have a one year old's party thrown in my face pissed me off...rant over, peace out

I'd go to the funeral and services for my best friend's mom.. to be their for my best friend. WIthout hesitation; whether she wants me at her side or to stay in the background or whatever.. I'd be there.
