OK here I go....My first ever TR! DAY 5 ON PAGE 21

Ah yes. The binder. I have two. One that's all about where to look when planning (because people always ask) and the one that goes with us on every trip. I keep a soft copy and just update it for each trip and print it out before we go. lol Of course, I am an anal over planner. lol

I wish our trip was only 25 days away. lol We've got ten more than you do. I'm so ready to go. Of course, it'll be even better when we do go because I'll be done with the one class that gives me so much freaking homework and I'll actually need to unwind.

This is such a weird situation but I will try and explain it...when booking our trip thru the DL website if I tried to make our reservation with 5 people it automatically bumped us up to a suite. It made it very impossible to do any booking, so we called DL and sure enough its their policy to put families of 5 or more into at least two rooms or a family suite. I wasnt going for that, so I got the bright idea of booking for 4 of us (me, dh, ds15 and ds12) and then calling the Motel and seeing what they charge for a rollaway. Well, after calling Motel6 and reserving ( a free ) rollaway and not having to pay extra for my dd (kids stay free at Motel6), we went ahead and booked the trip (for 4) thru DL website and then bought a 5 day parkhopper for DD. No problems! Well yesterday we called DL and asked to extend our vacation for one more day, so a total of 7 nights versus 6 and increased our 5-day park hoppers to 6-day. Guess what? You cant upgrade a e-ticket unless you do it at the gate. Here is the problem. When you buy a 5-day park hopper thru disney reservations you can upgrade easily and its VERY cheap (we went from 5day PH at $169 to 6-day PH for $173) yep, $16 for the 4 of us to have another day at DL. They wont let you do that with the e-ticket and they want us to upgrade at the ticket booth and its way more expensive! I tried calling a few different people and finally found someone who gave me an email address and told me to explain my problem and someone would get back with me within a week! omg I dont think I can wait a week for an answer! Why wont they just cancel one ticket and re-issue another?!?! this seems so silly!
Im frustrated with this whole thing and am thinking about not upgrading her ticket and just not going that 6th day and take a $16 loss.
Anyone have any opinions?

I read the other post you made but I don't have any advice. I think you are either stuck not upgrading, or forking out the extra cash. Either way, it sucks. lol

That really does suck....but I'm finding that some of Disney policies are annoying......hopefully you'll hear back sooner than a week.....I usually do.

I am glad it all worked out. Isn't it amazing how cheap it is to add a day when you know how much a single day is? The price is why I decided to go ahead and add a sixth day to the tickets when we go, if we are out the extra few dollars no big deal. And even if we just spend a few hours in Disneyland it is stll worth every penny for us.

I havent packed ONE thing. LOL My husband and I had planned on getting things that we still needed from the store today but he was called in to drive another shift ( fine with me....more DL money! ) but Im sure we'll get it done...eventually!

Im excited, my sister left yesterday and texted me from the line in Buzz Lightyear, so jealous! they are having a great time.....as I was typing this she sent me a pic of her kids on the teacups, yay!

Twenty three days!!! Wow, and it's so fun that your sister is making your trip more exciting for you. I never pack until the absolute last minute. I just don't, my girls on the other hand start at least a month ahead of time.

Im not the kind of person who buys new clothes for my trip. I wear what im taking so I cant really pack it! know what I mean? Its not that I dont want to buy new things, I just never do....its a weird thing! plus Ive lost 18.8lbs since Jan 1st and im hoping to lose alot more so I dont want to buy anything that I wont fit into in a few months.

We ALWAYS come back loaded with tons of stuff....FOR THE KIDS! I dont know why I dont ever get myself anything but maybe this time, who knows! Miracles can happen! LOL

Yesterday my DH and I came up with the idea to make each kid a "suprise box" (yes, they really ARE getting too old for this! lol) so we went to the dollar store and got each one of them a shoebox sized tote and the filled it with all kinds of goodies and snacks and stuff for them to do. I am going to decorate the lids of each one and DH is going to slip them under the kids seat the night before we leave so when they start getting restless on the car ride (the 12 hour car ride) we can let each of them know they have a small surprise under their seat
