OK, just got home from a great (although very crowded) trip to Disney! As any true disney-holic would do I have already started putting some thought into our next trip (its what keeps me going!)
I checked the unofficial guide and both times I am considering received ratings of 3 on 1/10 scale but I was curious if any of you guys had any opinions!
We either want to go within the last 2 weeks of January or the first week of february. Last year we went the third week of February and had lovely weather but we hit the pre-pres day rush as the end of our vaca and want to avoid that!
Also ther were some very uncrowded times (received 1-2 ratings) in early december...anyone have any words of wisdom for going at this time? Maybe for a future trip!

Thanks in advance.

I would recommend going in early December. I know people say December is getting more crowded and you have to watch for Pop Warner. But- you get the beautiful decorations and fun events like MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Osborne Lights, etc.

We were at WDW from 12/16 to 12/20 this past year. It got more crowded as the days progressed, but the first afternoon we got there most of the rides were walk on, and the big rides like Space Mt had waits of only 15 mins. -Stephanie

The only other time I have been to Disney was the 2nd week of Jan a few years ago. There wasn't anyone there! We never waited in line for anything. It was great! The weather was good, mid-70's, too.

We went towards the end of January 2004 and while there were no crowds at all I remember being very cold (although my dh swears it wasn't that cold). As long as you're prepared for varying temps, January is a fantastic time to go. Just try to avoid MLK weekend. We noticed the crowds picked up a bit the closer we got to them (although they were still never bad).

If you go in January, just avoid MLK weekend as it will be more crowded.

If you like the Christmas decorations and music, go in December. I think February might be a bit warmer if that's important to you.
