Ok signed up for the early bird thing, and thought you would get an assigned boarding pass at that time but there was no information...when are they assigned do I have to go thru the boarding process all over again or do they just let you know when you get to the airport... I will be on the road 2 days before trip and that is why I bought this , I will have no access to computer to print any boarding pass or sign in.. I am sorry but I looked online at SW and could find no information.. just saying something about 36 hours...so do I have to do the normal procedure for boarding passes then... Please help someone who has done this I feel so lame...

Ok..take a deep breath..it's all going to be just fine. SW will check you in at the 36 hr mark..you don't need to do anything!! Then, when you get to the airport, just go to one of the self serve checkin kiosks and print out your boarding pass. It won't make any difference whether or not you check in at home, or at the airport, your boarding group/number will be the same. This is what is so wonderful about EBCI!!!
Then, take your printed out boarding pass and head to security....well, after you check any bags.

SW will automatically check you in and assign you your place in line. You will have a place in line that is higher then anyone who did not sign up for the early bird check in. You do not need to check in before you get to the airport as that is what early bird does for you. When you get to the airport you can pull your boarding pass.

OH THANK YOU, I looked all over and could not find any info ...I went to SW site FQ and really could not find out how to get the boarding pass.. You explained very well, why could they not do that...one simple paragraph of explanation would have been nice... no just gave me a receipt but did email too so I had proof of purchase but then what...so I see I have a mysterious boarding pass asigned somewhere in cyber land and it does not matter when I print it out, just can't find out until 36 hours before.. gottcha, you have eased my mind... I know it is silly but I totally forgot and then realized I would be away and then on the road at the assigned time 24 hrs away for signing in and getting a pass and figure well maybe this is what this early bird thing is... hey as long as I am on that plane on Tues winging my way to my Happy Place, warm and sunny preferably I will be good. I
I truly appreciate all of your answers. I feel so much better...flying is enough of a hasstle without this confusion :cheer2::cheer2::grouphug:

Thank you for that link...no I never saw that, that is all I needed...maybe because it recognized me and I was in my acct and entered my ressie numbers ??? I just purchased and thought I was fine but then just got a page saying you paid ...print this...and I started looking around for info about where to print and came up with the info on not being guaranteed an A pass and something about 36 hours, which did not help me at this point....but guess they just assign you a hidden boarding pass position..???? kinda mystical but I did not get that part...nothing about the printing the pass... but now know everything is set is stone, I just am not privy to that info til I print out... kinda weird but maybe so VIP might need to be ahead of me..LOL.
But I feel much better...all I need is to have a seat but DH well so we have seats somewhere on the plane...it will probably be row 13 like always...for some reason we always seem to wind up there????
I can't believe how helpful and kind you have all been....believe me I was stressed about this...and you eased my concerns...and I did go and read the info on the link and it was there...just not were I looked...:thumbsup2

On southwest, if you ever have anything you are looking at, on the top right there will be travel tools, click that and all the way at the bottom is 'all travel tools'

That page is great for a lot of info, and then their normal 'help' page is also great

I hotlinked both of those for ya.

No, Business Select PAX will all be ahead of EBCI PAX (they get A1-15). EBCI doesn't even guarantee that you'll be in the A group.

You are both correct actually. Hodgieha stated she will be in line higher than the people who DID NOT purchase EBCI. Which is correct. If we had the same flight and she bought EB and I didn't, then she would definitely be higher up than me.

You are correct that she will not be before business select and she may not land up in A group, but she will be ahead of people who didn't purchase EB at all.

While Southwest will assign a boarding number at the 36 hour mark you won't be able to print it, or even see it, until 24 hours before the flight. As it has been said earlier it doesn't matter what time, or where, you print it it will still be the same number that was assigned 36 hours before the flight.

There's also preboards plus if early birds go into B group, families with small children will be ahead. But still ahead of others who did not buy early bird.

Yes, actually many guest relations places in the parks can also, but also the front desk at the resorts will also.. just have your confirmation #.

I do not know if it is every resort but DVC resorts the last few times printed a boarding pass and it was in my packet on the last day for Magical Express..I think I remember that because we always go down to front desk in the past and get it printed..but like someone said earlier I think you can even print at airport

If you check your bags curbside, they will print it for you also. I guess I look at it like this. I don't want to spend part of my last days running around disney looking to print a boarding pass that I can get at the airport.

I get your point, but I really dont consider stopping by the front desk for a minute or two as running around.. Others may feel differently.:goodvibes
