Okay, my BF and I just got back from a wonderful stay at Grand Floridian. We didn't visit Universal this time because we had plans to come back for HHN. The problem is now we are going with a mutual friend of ours, who has never been to Disney before and wants to go. Now we basically have two different vacations booked and we need to choice ASAP.

Here is Itinerary #1

Stay at PBH October 1st to the 6th at $189 a night.

Friday, October 1st
Cab to the MK Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party
Dinner: The Liberty Tree Tavern.

Saturday, October 2nd
Islands of Adventure
Dinner: Wantilan Lua

Sunday, October 3rd
Halloween Horror Nights

Monday, October 4th
Cab to EPCOT
Breakfast: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Tuesday, October 5th
Universal Studios
Dinner: Mama Della’s, 7:30 P.M.

Wednesday, October 6th
Islands of Adventure

Yes I know, the cab and tickets to Disney are expensive. Which is why I put a deposit on a 3-Night stay at Coronado Springs with Free Dining MYW Package (around $1400 for three adults) followed by a two night stay at PBH at $299 a night (theoretically if we do it this way, the super saver rate will turn into this).

Itinerary #2 is from September 30th to October 5th.

Thursday, September 30th
EPCOT
Dinner: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Friday, October 1st
Disney’s Hollywood Studios/Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party
Dinner: The Liberty Tree Tavern.

Saturday, October 2nd
Animal Kingdom
Dinner: ‘Ohana.

Sunday, October 3rd
Take a cab over to PBH, check-in, and head to Halloween Horror Nights

Monday, October 4th
Islands of Adventure
Dinner: Mama Della’s

Tuesday, October 5th
Universal Studios

I think I need some opinions from people on the outside because honestly, I'm confusing myself so much that I'm almost indifferent. For what it's worth, my main priority is HHN and MNSSHP. I'm a huge Halloween fan and couldn't care less about Harry Potter, the other two are super excited about the Wizarding World.

Please any opinions would help!

Both itineraries look good to me. One question is what kind of room to you have booked at PBH for $299? Standard, deluxe, Club?

Does anybody have an preferred/premiere annual pass? The AP rate shows $214 for PBH 2 Queen Garden room, $219 for HRH 2 Queen Garden room, and $184 for RPR 2 Queen Standard room.

What about an AAA membership. Those rates are usually comparable to the AP rate but are usually only available by calling.

It is a standard garden view queen room. We are also not Triple AAA members nor have an AP.

You should consider becoming a Triple-A member. I would expect it to cost under $100, maybe even 1/2 that (I believe for my wife and I, it's $70/year) to become a member. The savings on the hotel cost should cover the cost of the membership. Then you can use your AAA card to receive discounts on food and souveniers at both parks and Citywalk.

I like the second itinerary personally. That sounds easier and I think it's fun and exciting sometimes to change resorts :lovestruc I think you are going to like having the dining plan for a few days also and think what you'll save with that.

I also like the second itinerary- not so much driving around, more relaxing, seems to make more sense to me. Either way I know you guys will have fun!:woohoo:

Thanks everyone! I think I may go with the first itinerary actually, because even with the free food consider into the price, it would still be more money due to the the extra days on the MYW Ticket. The only thing is I'm considering switching to HRH and stay the 30th to 5th, so we don't have to cab it over MK for MNSSHP as soon as we check-in. Kinda disappointing because I like PBH much better than HRH, but they have no availabilities on the 30th! Does anybody know if I would still qualify for a super-saver rate if I split my stay between PBH and HRH?

I would go with itinerary #2. We used to stay at Disney our entire trip and take a rental car to Universal for two day trips. It is a lot of running around and time spent getting to and from and more stress than its worth. We now go to Universal first, stay at the HRH, and then go to Disney. Much more relaxing doing it that way. It would be worth joining AAA for the discounts. As others have said, you get a room discount, ticket discount, and a 10% discount at restaurants, snack carts, and shops as well as at City Walk. AAA also give you discounts at Disney.

From my experience, Itenerary #2 would be much more enjoyable for you.

I think we have a winner here! :thumbsup2

I would call and speak to a supervisor to ask that one. They are pretty much limited to what is in the system when you book so if you are splitting your stay it will be 2 different reservations so the saver rate would not come up for them to select.

There rates say it is based on check in / check out date...we are staying in June and I booked one day late so if I wanted to stay Sun - Fri on the AP rate it was going to be $204 a night but if I booked Sun -Thurs then it was $159 a night for those nights. I had to make 2 reservations, one for Sun-Thurs at the lower rate and then 1 for Thursday at the higher rate. Because of their system, they couldn't make it under 1 reservation for the whole stay. :confused3
