After months of trying to get a pin and spending hours on the DIS, we have gotten both of the last pin offers. The 1st one didn't cover our dates as we are both teachers and need to vacation in the summer. We just booked with the free dining pin and are hoping gas prices go down for summer.:worship: I wish all of you luck that a GP discount code comes out tomorrow!

I did the same thing. Just booked the FD for the first 2 weeks of August at the BC - hoping that AP room rates come out soon. I also booked a teacher rate room at the Dolphin - just in case things don't work out with the AP rate and we need to cancel. It's tough when you're a teacher and have children and need to just travel during the summer months.

I'm with you in hoping gas prices go down or at least stay the same !
We just booked with FD for July and plan on driving for the first time. Airfare was just too high. Hoping to save by driving.

With the way they are hiking up every other day, we could probably buy a plane and get there cheaper!:rotfl2:

Let's keep fingers crossed or I might need to cancel!:scared1:

We are driving as well, in June. Would much rather fly but really not sure if I want to pay the hefty $$$$ for 5 people.

I wish we were within a good driving distance, but 24 hours is just too much for us. If you add in gas, food and hotels on the way it is about the same amount for us to fly. Are you all driving straight through?

We drive a majority of the way on the first day and then stop for the night. On the 2nd day, we only have about 4 more hours or less, and we are rested and ready to hit the parks. Our drive is about 19-20 hours I believe. We do the same on the way back, but leave a little longer for the 2nd day. It is still cheaper than flying with hotel and everything.
