I'm really debating this back and forth in my head...help me out OK?

Do you save enough money using Connections vouchers to offset the costs incurred in subscription/cancellation time, limitations on restaurants, times, and food choices, and the time spent figuring out when/where/what to eat to get the best value?

yes

no

I wanted to post a poll, but I don't know how! :jester:

I am going throught the same concerns! I have tried to figure out how many meals we would be eating at the parks and seeing if it is worth the effort of all you mentioned. I know how some people have complained about connections and also I think I would be too guilty to cancel after the trial membership.

because Connections knows quite well that people sign up for the trial, buy what they need, and then cancel immediately. They still make enough money just selling the vouchers to turn quite a profit or they wouldn't offer the $1 trial. Don't let 'em fool ya...they've got themselves covered.

But now, to you who have used the vouchers, what is your opinion on their value vs. the costs?

I thought the vouchers were worth the effort. We were there for two weeks in July and saved a great deal of money (enough to pay for the membership on one meal alone). I kept my membership because I knew I had three trips planned during the first membership year and I like the gift cards and movie tickets. I doubt that I will re-new my membership though since I will not be returning to WDW until 2004--I may just do the $1. trial thing over again and then drop it since they are rumored to be raising the membership price. Signing up, ordering and cancelling within the thirty days is not difficult, so don't let that be a deterrent.
To figure out if the vouchers will be worth it to you, decide where and what you like to eat and then check to see if the vouchers can be used there. Would your menu choices add up to $25.00 before tax and tip then the lunch vouchers are worth it. For the most part you will only save a dollar to three withthe Q and C's but over the course of several meals over several days this could add up (it did for us).
Good luck with your decision!

YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!!!!!

We have used many vouhcers on our last 3 trips!!! And as soon as the expiration dates on the new vouchers is past May--I will start buying them for our June trip.

We use them at all character breakfasts, ESPN, Beaches & Cream, Pepper Market, Alfredo's and others.

I SURRENDER!! I willingly admit my ignorance. I've seen "Connections" vouchers mentioned in more than one thread yet I have found absolutely nothing to explain what they are? Could someone please explain? Thank you, I will feel much better after I am enlightened.

Patsal,

Connections did go up this year. They renewed my membership (without notifying me), and they charged me $140. That's almost double what I paid last year for the membership. I don't know if they have a lower $80 membership for the first year, but I didn't think that the membership is worth $140.

I did sign up for another membership with another versiou of Connections called Simple Escapes. It was $100, but there were more options (like gift cards for Target and Circuit City). I think it's worth $100 to join, but no more than that.
