Don't laugh when you read this, BUT last time we went to Disney, we chose not to do many CS meals and paid cash for some sitdown ones. This left a TON of CS meals so we loaded up before we left to drive home. How I wished I had had my Food Saver with me. We also always eat our last night at the Yachtsman and never finish all of it, so I put it in zip locs and in the cooler.

If I was smart this time, I could use the FS for all my leftovers and have a lot more Disney meals when I get home.

Am I nuts????????????????

I think if I had that many leftover credits I would just evaluate the need for the DDP.

Sorry, but Disney "food" is not that good that I would bother to go to that much trouble! Disney CS is just fast food IMHO!

I totally agree, except that this time we are doing the Deluxe Plan and we should have this last time as we opted out of CS and went to TS meals.

I am specifically talking about the TS meal food that I have leftover. I will eat the appetizer and about 1/2 my entree and dessert. I refuse to dump out a good steak!

Rather than do the deluxe plan, wouldn't it be more economical to do cash, and simply split the entree? That would reduce the leftovers. Unless you and your spouse prefer your steaks prepared differently.

Hey Diznee,
don't feel too bad- Mine isn't packed yet but I have definitely thought of it! This next year will be our first trip though & that is why I thought of it- Not knowing how much would be "leftover" by the posts I have read... Also, maybe not leftover in the respect of bringing it home but even to save as a late night snack for the kids... All of mine seem to wake up at the oddest hours roaming for food- LOL & No, they are not starved! But as a moneysaver on the way back home too- we have 7 in our fam and fast food on the road can also get mighty pricey- even off the dollar menu! I figure we can chow down in style on the way back and whatever makes it to the house means some good ol' potluck before I have to actually cook a meal- hence* the end of vacation- LOL

Hummmm.........I am thinking your idea of "vacation" :goodvibes and ours are really really different.:confused3 People tell me there are "kitchens?" in those rooms but somehow we just seem to not see them   except for the coffee maker.
When we go to WDW I am not too intrested in putting food anywhere but into my mouth.:rotfl2:
But then we fly from the west coast so the idea of a ice chest just leaves
me cold, :scared1: wonder if that would be carry on??:rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't think your nuts just.............. different.:dance3:

We bring home pastries from France and some steak, others if they happen to not be eaten. My DH can EAT, so I'm usually the one with the leftovers.

Thanks for the input.

Ha! We thought about bringing ours with us! I think we just might.

We aren't the norm though. We enjoy coming back and eating in our room. We like fresh healthy food that we cook ourselves, and it is easier to control that by cooking ourselves. We are grocery shopping when we get there and cooking just as we would at home...

We were going to get the dining plan but we realized that we wouldn't normally eat dessert with our dinner every night and we wouldn't ever eat steak every night, and that is what it looked like we were going to eat every night.
