Ok, admit it

Well you somehow managed to get into the store, or to the cart area without the cart didn't you

I don't want to argue with you about this. I am not going to let my 3 small children roam around the parking lot or be free in the car while I put the groceries away. That is just not safe. I will continue to strap them into their seats, put my stuff away and attempt to get the cart back. I always offer my cart to someone if they are walking past, offer it to an employee if they are near, or like I said, if the cart area is nearby, I put it back.

Like I said, I'm not going to argue with you, so we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I try to return it to the corral, but when I arrive I try to park close to one so it is easy. At Target though, I often find myself leaving it on the grassy island between the parking areas. For some reason, the area I like to park in has no corrals. Poor planning to be sure...but to get my cart to one I would have to walk through two rows of cars with it first...and with all the SUVs and Minivans I'm afraid I'm going to scratch them if I attempt to walk through...

I didn't want to get into a whole walmart bash. Just carts, any store.

Anyway, I guess I am in the minority by not returning them, although not many here must shop there since carts are everywhere in the parking lots :rotfl:

He is also teaching me to put things back where they came from in the store. I am the pick it up and hang on to it until you decide for sure if you are getting it. If not, just throw it on a shelf somewhere. Drives DH nuts...so, I am trying....

I am so guilty of this  - Used to be I didn't even think about it - I would just put it wherever when I decided I didn't want it - but my father and DH have pointed out that it is wrong --- so I am trying to break that habit too

But I do always put my cart back - :sunny:

More important I NEVER shop at Wal-Mart.

You must not do much shopping if you only shop at retail establishments that pay a living wage!

I always put my cart back. I must have been brainwashed somewhere along the line, but I still believe in the bad luck fairy. If you don't put the cart where it belongs, then you'll get in a car accident on the way home.

ALWAYS PUT YOUR CART BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And, being a 34 year old male, it gives me the chance to push the cart really fast, lift my legs off the floor and take a white knuckle ride all the way back to the cart station.

I dont ever shop at a walmart but I do put the carts back in stores I shop at that do have them. Sometimes I take my daughter with me to return it, other times I put her in the car, lock the doors and walk the 10 feet to return it. If its hot out I even start the car up with the automatic starter so its not to hot in there if she wants to sit in there while I load up the car and return the cart.

I return the carts at the stores that I shop at all the time. The one and only time I didn't I was 9 months pregnant, had two toddlers, it was probably 100 degrees outside and the coral was pretty far from my car. Of course, this would be the time that the self appointed cart policewoman was out and about. She started yelling at me about being more responsible. So I just flipped her the bird. :lmao: I really felt I had extenuating circumstances.

Our local Wal-Marts do not have cart corrals....and I've always wondered why not. But then again, how many people put them in there? I either make sure it's hooked to a curb, or will walk it back to the front of the store.

Nope - I can't admit to this. :sad2:

I purposly park next to a cart return (even if it's far away from the door) so I can conviently put my cart in the cart return corral.

I usually return the cart, especially if the corral is close by. If not, and if DD12 is with me, I have her return it. If neither of those scenarios is available, I hook it to the curb.

Even if I am not by a cart retrun I will walk out of my way to bring the cart bak to where it belongs.

I return the cart to the corral. If I have the kids, then I take them with me to return the cart and then we all get in the car together. I haven't found it to be a big issue, just something that is done...so I do it.
