It sounds like both of these restaurants have interesting interaction between the CM wait staff and customers. Which do you enjoy more? Thanks.

Honestly the two cannot be compared as far as interaction with the CMs. At 'Ohana it is just a CM that introduces himself/herself as your cousin. That is it. They announce coconut races for the kids once in a while but that is it. The food is the attraction at this restaurant and not the antics as there are none. Now the WC gets pretty crazy. Maybe not at your table because it depends on the server you get. Even with a quiet server you still get to enjoy the antics of everyone else and get to participate in the ketchup run and the stick pony races. We happen to like the food here too but the fun can't be beat either.

Both restaurants are great for kids but my kids enjoyed Ohana's more than the WC on our last trip. My little girl, 4 1/2 yrs, enjoyed the coconut races and the hh contests. She really had a ball :thumbsup2 Not much interaction with CMs at Ohana's but then again, the waiter we had at the WC wasn't all that tentative either.

We really like O'hanas and probably will never return to Whispernig Canyon. We have had some really good meals at O'hana's and some so-so meals, but our meals at Whispering Canyon were just not very good in our opinion. To me the ribs are just flat bad and the chicken is not all that good.

We weren't much on the atmosphere at Whispering Canyon.... we thought it would be fun, but for us it came off as a bit too much.... My 6 year old son hated the place. I am sure lots of people love it as a fun place to have a meal, but we aren't lining up to go back.

Ohanas doesn't really have anything too much in the way of interesting interaction with the CM, so if that is what you are looking for then Whispering Canyon may be the way to go...

For my family, we always go to O'hanas once a trip and will never go back to Whispering Canyon. I am sure others are exactly opposite of that.

We just ate at both places this past week. I have to say I enjoyed WC more. I thought the food and the atmosphere was better. Ohana's was good, but it was so much meat. I am not a vegetarian by any means, but I also am not a huge meat lover. And for some reason at Ohana's we could not get our side dishes (there are only two, some cheesy potatoes--very good, and some stir fried veggies which I did not care for way too crunchy) even though we told our "cousin" twice that we never got our sides. She just kept coming back over with more meat. My plate consisted of sausage, turkey, and steak, that's it! The sides finally made it out right before desert! I will say the desert was awesome! Yum! But I think they need to give you at least one more side and some bread or something besides meat!
WC was delish, their mashed potatoes were soooo good and corn on the cob, yum, yum. BBQ was good and chicken was great. I would pick WC again. Ohana's, I could skip for a few years.

How did you find the interaction at the WCC?

I think O'hana was a little better than Wispering Cannon. I liked both of their foods, though!

We are WCC addicts. Though the truth be told we always have the same waiter. The experience would be totally different with out him and his wonderful personality. Our family really enjoys the call for Ketchup, pony races, hat making, group sings...and the over all antics of the CM's....

Bobby the Kid is below in our family picture...he is da bomb at WCC

Our family would say Ohanas all the way, especially for the food! You have to be sure to get a good server at WC and the 2 times we have tried it were both bad waiters.

Hated everything about Ohanas - food service and interaction. WCC on the other hand we all loved and will be returning in August.

We honestly love both places, even though they are really different in the atmosphere and interaction.

While we enjoy both places, 'Ohana would be our pick. It is our favorite resort restaurant at WDW.
