I seem to recall reading that if you are dining at Ohana's at the time Wishes fireworks are going that they dim the lights and pipe in the music. Is this true? How good is the view?

They do pipe in the music. It is beautiful! The view is great. We have done this several times and it's our opinion that this is the BEST way to view Wishes. We have also done this at the California Grill. That was nice, too.

Yep, they definitely do this. Be warned -- if you aren't a kind and patient person, you might not want a window seat. We had dinner ressies 2 yrs ago, and just as the fireworks started, hordes of small children began to crowd around all the window-side tables to watch. They were generally well-behaved, though. It was great they were able to enjoy the show also, but I did ask one little boy to scoot over because he was standing in front of my DS, blocking his view.

we were there at end of october and they didnt dim the lights.

another great thing to do is to go out on the beach behind the poly, and watch wishes from there. they have speakers there where they are piping in the music too. then stay after the fireworks, the electric water parade usually starts soon after there.

we saw this when we were there in the end of october. it was great!
