I have never been to Ohana and am thinking of giving it a try. I just looked up there dinner menu and noticed that meats on the Skewers do not include chicken. I hate to say this but I am sometimes a picky eater....so I am curious if there is a chance they serve chicken at all in place of any of the meats that are on the menu? Thanks

No chicken of the grilled-on-skewers variety, no, but they have been known to provide one of my picky-eater (and adult) friends with chicken nuggets from time to time. :thumbsup2

There is turkey breast on the skewers -- really tastes alot like chicken. The steak is pretty tame, too.

Give 'Ohana a try. There are so many items that they will bring to your table that you are bound to like some of them. We actually like almost all of them!:)

They dont have chicken but they do have turkey. I actually thought the turkey was chicken that is how much alike it tasted when cooked on the skewers so i would definitely still keep your reservation. Also the dipping sauces are great and give it a good taste.
I actually enjoyed the turkey very much (i dont think you will find much of a difference when you taste it - at least i didnt I thought it was chicken all along (I ate there twice and didnt realize this until the 2nd night.

I don't think they serve the chicken on skewers but like everyone else said the turkey tastes like chicken. Ohana is really yummy, you would still really enjoy it!

I think that the turkey tastes a lot like chicken and our party of realtively picky eaters all enjoyed Ohana. Between the salad, the noodles, all the meats and the dessert, there is something for everyone...except maybe the vegetarians!

O'hana is a must for my family! There is so much variety, I think there is something for everyone!

The turkey is delicious! One of my favorite things. You should have no problem finding something you will like. Enjoy!

My husband is one of the pickiest eaters ever and he really enjoyed Ohana (as did I!) so I wouldnt worry about it! As others have said the turkey tastes very similar to chicken and to be honest there is so much food brought to your table during this meal that by the time the skewers come round you may find youre too stuffed to have much of the meat anyway!! (That was the case with me although I did save enough room for the yummy bread and butter pudding!! Would have been a crime not to have!!) :thumbsup2

I'll echo everybody above that you should give the turkey a try. And worst case scenario, you could skip the skewer meats and just go to town on the honey chicken wings that they will bring you. They're delicious! :thumbsup2

The meats are prepared in the simplest way - marinated then grilled over open flame. There's no fancy treatment of them. You didn't say specifically that you didn't like beef or pork, so I would try them too if you'd like. They are really yummy. And like others have said, the turkey does taste a lot like chicken - grilled and served.

I would try it. The atmosphere is really fun.

we have eaten here and loved it , never knew it was turkey I was eating but it was all good! Go for it!:thumbsup2

The turkey is actually one of my favorites, it manages to stay moist and flavorful. Be sure to try itwith the diggerent dipping sauces.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts! :) It sounds like the turkey will be the way to go. I guess I can't go wrong there if it tastes like chicken ;) you all are making me excited to try it. Thanks so much

I can tell ya, I didn't even know that was Turkey until this thread, that is
too funny. We have eaten at O'hana's many times and it is the best
restaurant in Disney, JMHO.

The food and atmosphere cannot be beat, especially for families.

Have Fun.

Ohanas is awesome...so much food variety, so wouldn't be hung up on no chicken. They have salad, noodles, shrimp, beef, chix wings, and an awesome desert. Go...you'll like it.

was just curious as to whether the noodles could be swapped for rice or anything potato??

We just tried Ohana this past Tuesday for the first time, and we all LOVED it. It was me (40), dh (38), dd (13), dd's friend (14), and ds (7). We all enjoyed the turkey. The food was great, especially the wings & dumplings. The girls liked the steak, but I had to ask for mine to be cooked a little longer (not a fan of anything less than medium well). We enjoyed Ohana so much that we went for breakfast on Friday. It is one of our new favorites; a new must do!
