Hi!

This is my first post and totally appreciate the wealth of info I have found on these boards!! Thanks!

I'm considering O'hana for one of our dinners. I'm traveling with DD and want a blend of interesting restaurants but kid friendly to hold her interest. I have heard that they do 'games' for the kids- do they happen with great frequency? Like every 30 minutes or could we be there for an hour and miss them?

Also, any favorite seating requests?

Lastly, if O'hana is not a place you would recommend for the two of us- what would be your recommendation?

Thanks!

Liz

We loved our dinner at Ohana with our kids who were 11, 8, and 6 last year when we went. I think if you like the looks of the menu you will enjoy it. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The atmosphere, although casual and no characters, is fun and I found it relaxing. Take a stroll to the beach with dd before or after your dinner. And, yes, they do the activities often enough that they will do them at some point while you're eating dinner. I think that you'll both enjoy it.

You'll really love 'Ohana. The games are really fun. Seems some type of game happens (coconut rolling contests, hula hoops, etc.) about every 30 minutes or so. The games are not on a schedule, but they are frequent.

There are a lot of large parties here, but a party of 2 is also welcomed.

Another choice would be the Garden Grill at Epcot (The Land pavilion). Mickey is there - the food is great - and the restaurant rotates (mildly) so you see different scenes.

Welcome to the boards!

I've only had breakfast at O'hana & it was nice. Chef Mickeys is a good dinner too- they have a party every so many minutes & everyone swings their napkins around-- it's really cute. I'm not sure if it's the same at Crystal Palace for dinner as it is for breakfast but they have a parade for the kids to participate in throughout the meal- thats cute as well- but we've only even done it for breakfast. Have fun & enjoy! :D

we ate there on our last trip with 6-5-3 yr olds--it is one of our greatest memories of that trip==the kids were so happy and entertained the entire time that we, the adults, were able to enjoy ourselves almost as if they weren't there--after that night we cancelled all the "babysitters" that we had reserved for our stay (we were thinking that quiet time for the 2 of us would be needed) our kids were so enthralled that they were a joy to be with! have fun---we are scheduled to return for the night of my DD 11th birthday this JUne--!!:Pinkbounc
