'Ohana is one of our favorite restaurants in Walt Disney World! It is the only dinner we are repeating when we go back in September! Here is our review:
We were seated only a couple minutes after our ADR time in an area just slightly off to the side of the grill. Our "Cousin" Stephanie was fairly nice but her "assistant" or whatever he was that helped her bring our food was wonderful! I got the Malibu Macaw and my best friend got an Island Sunset, which we both enjoyed very much.
Our meal began with the salad. The dressing is as good as everyone says it is! Next came the wonton chips with the 3 dipping sauces. I don't remember what each one was but I remember I liked the peanut one and my friend liked the green one. The chips were Ok but it was the sauces that we really enjoyed.
Next we got the honey coriander chicken wings, the potatoes, the sweet & sour shrimp, and the stir-fried veggies. The wings are delicious but very sticky and messy. We were brought some warm moist towels to keep ourselves clean with. The vegetables were pretty good but a bit overwhemled by all the other foods. We loved the shrimp and the potatoes equally well. (with just the 2 of us we had to ask for seconds of both) The shrimp can be a bit messy to peel but well worth the effort (once again thanks for the wet towels).
Finally we began to get the grilled meats. The steak was not at all dry as some as gotten it. It was very tender and moist and cooked just right. The pork was also good with a barbeque glaze on it. The turkey was just a bit dry but also quite good. We felt the sausage was just OK. Not bad but nothing really great about it.
After we had finished, our table was cleared and we were brought the pineapple bread pudding. My main problem was that instead of bringing us 2 plates to serve ourselves on as we had all during the meal, the server brought out the dessert, sat it down, poured all the banana's foster sauce on top of it, plopped down 2 forks, and declared that he was sure we didn't mind sharing! While we don't mind being mistaken for a couple sometimes, we really preferred being able to at least eat out of separate plates. So we had to call over our main server and ask for plates and spoons so we could enjoy the dessert separately.
Honestly the dessert was very good, but by this point I was so full I couldn't fully enjoy it.
We love 'Ohana and it is definately a must-do for us every time from now on!
