We ate at the O'Hana breakfast on Sunday, December 26th. We were seated right away and put the kids on the aisle (which our server recommended).
The food was brought out very quickly and was really good. I made a biscuit sandwich for myself while the kids devoured the Mickey pancakes. The juice is wonderful and everyone drank some.
My only "complaint" is that the food and characters came out so fast that I really did not get to enjoy my meal. I had no sooner gotten the food on the kids plate then the first character stopped by. So I did not eat. I was busy taking photos and such. Then I got the food on my plate but could not eat it as the second character came by. Then the parade started and everyone was up and taking video. Then we sat again and I took one bite and here comes another character. So, relaxing, this was not! But once I got to eat the food, it was very good.
I really don't know why they don't have Photopass photographers for these character meals. It would really take a lot of stress off the parents if someone else would take the pictures. For the price of the meal, a photographer should be with each character.
As for the other resaurants, well, I reviews Kona in another thread. But overall, all the Poly food places are excellent. The mini grocery on the second floor is wonderful, too. A great place to use those snack credits. We took the advice of a CM one night and ate at the Gasparilla Grill at the GF. We did not think it was any better than Captain Cooks although the outside seating was beautiful.
So, the Poly gets my highest marks for overall restaurants. You just can't go wrong. (Although our friends had room service one morning and they said it was terrible and not worth the high cost!)
Hope this helps
So, go and have fun and eat when you can!!
